Very interesting development.
A year ago, Rose was spotted meeting with the Head of Columbia Records. Everyone was speculating what was being discussed at the meeting.
A year later, Jennie is the one signed to Columbia, and has released a huge record, "Mantra."
Rose, now signed to Atlantic, is ready to release a duet with her label mate, the incomparable, Bruno Mars.
I believe Atlantic offered Rose a pretty amazing deal, including close to, if not, total creative control. She is therefore able to make the record album of her dreams!
Looking forward to it. I hope it's great!

I am shocked! Was not expecting that! I thought we were gonna get a ballad. Im pleasantly surprised. The chorus sounds familiar to another song, I cant recall what song though.

Totally wasn't expecting this to go so hard, and I may love it already! To quote leonagwen, I was expecting this ROSÉ/Bruno collab to be a ballad (given ROSÉ's past solo work with On the Ground/Gone and Bruno coming back to the music scene with Die with a Smile recently), but APT. to be a more upbeat pop that would not be out of place on an early 2010s work of Bruno Mars is a welcome surprise. Hopefully this does so soooo well on the charts. |

Yes, definitely not what I expected either.
It also took me a while to figure out that "APT." was being pronounced in Korean, not in English.
At first I thought they were singing, "All you gotta do is just meet me at the ah-party."
But, it's actually pronounced 아파트 (a-pa-teu).
I guess it's also a popular drinking game in Korea.
And yes, it does sound like an Olivia Rodrigo song!

I was not expecting this sound but I love it. This is very 2000s pop rock and it’s refreshing to hear Bruno on something that is not a ballad or an 80s throwback sound.
