Gracie is like a diet-version of 2020s Taylor & Olivia. The music I’ve heard is just so eh. Also maybe I’m out of her demo since it definitely was giving 10th grade girl’s diary musings.

Also maybe because she’s relatively late to a trend I’m burned out on. This stripped/acoustic/coffee shop songwriter music from Taylor, Zach Bryan, Noah Kahan, Olivia, etc that has lowkey just been hogging up the charts.

I kind of agree (although Close To You by Gracie is a banger!) but I don’t think I’d group Olivia in that group. She’s way more rock, even Driver’s License is way more produced/up beat than the average stripped singer songwriter music

I definitely think she isn't exactly like them and agree she has consistent 00s Alternative influence throughout her music to note.

But there is definitely a bit of Olivia songs (the more piano/subdued ones) that have Taylor influence. It's all like a family tree in a way lol.

Sabrina also comes to mind like a half-sibling of some sorts like Olivia. I really liked Espresso/Feather/Nonsense and they made her stand out to me, then Please was moreso following Taylor's steps with the folksy Jack Antonoff sound and half her album also ended up being like that.

I'm very fatigued on that whole sound it definitely has taken over the Pop-sphere and is the forefront at this point. I'm probably the minority though.

There’s no reason to believe this when her album is still doing great numbers.

Her diva persona has turned into more of a meme, I don’t think people actually dislike her now (as evidenced by the album still doing fine).

I wouldn't think so. Hot To Go! is also a solidly big hit, and many other songs on the album have charted for many weeks or are making noise organically, highly unusual for a non-album bomb week and given most of them aren't official singles.

Total Streams for Gracie Abrams - I Love You, I'm Sorry: 9,482,007 (Would be #12 with combined streams)

Well after slow week after slow week, we finally have a ton of movement and debuts this week. And let's not beat around the bush because even without a full week of tracking, Tyler the Creator absolutely dominated this week. After years and years of building momentum, with great albums like Flower Boy, IGOR, and CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST, Tyler the Creator has the biggest album of his entire career with CHROMOKOPIA. For several days, he had the entire top 10 to himself and on the weekly charts he occupies the entire Top 5! He notches his first ever #1 with St. Chroma which garnered 15.2M in four days. It's also looking to be his first ever Top 10 single. Right behind is Noid, which nearly doubled its streams this week with a 172% increase for a 15.1M second place. And then at #3 is Rah Tah Tah with 12.4M streams. Each of the songs in the top 3 outstreamed APT.'s weekly streams last week!

And then at #4 and #5 we having Darling I with 12.3M and the super collab Sticky with 11.9M (if I had to put money, I expect this to linger for a few more weeks). CHROMOKOPIA managed to get 136M, surpasssing WE DON'T TRUST YOU for the best debut of a hip-hop album this year and being the 4th biggest debut this year, more than Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, and Post Malone! I have no doubts, if this had gotten a full week of tracking, it could've even beat Cowboy Carter for the 2nd biggest debut of the year! It's more than deserving success for Tyler, who like with Charli XCX earlier this year, has managed to maintain his momentum for the early 2010s to becoming one of the best artists in his genre and it's great to see his talent finally being rewarded with the success to match the acclaim.

Dropping to #6 with a 6.8% drop is APT. Not a bad drop though it is starting to slip on streaming already so let's hope it can stabilize itself. Right behind it is Die With A Smile which only dropped only 5.02% in ts 11th week, really great longevity on this duet. And then besides Tyler's songs, we actually have another song entering the Top 10 and it's her second song this year! As with a huge boost of 76.21%, That's So True by Gracie Abrams is at #9 with 10.1M as it does look like Gracie will have a second hit this era. The only question now is if she can sustain this momentum or if she'll be a two-hit novelty wonder.

The live-version of I Love You, I'm Sorry took a dip this week of 13.85% as the momentum slows down. The total streams for the song this week puts it at #12 although I have no doubt it woudl've been higher had it not been for both Tyler and Halloween happening. The One Direction songs also took an expected tumble this week as Night Changes dropped 25.08% and Story of My Life fell 31.37%. Shockingly though, it looks like Love Somebody may be a bit frontloaded as it actually fell out of the Top 10 to #15 and dropped 25.53%. It could regain momentum still perhaps not the performance Morgan and his team were looking for.

But it wasnt just Tyler that caused a lot of movement this week as Halloween also made the expected comeback with the usual songs re-entering. And yet lost amongst all of this is Lady Gaga's lead single for her upcoming album underperforming as Disease debuted at #51 with only 4.6M. Yes, Tyler and Halloween were boudn to suck up all the air in the room but Disease also had three days to itself as the biggest new release so the fact it still had lackluster results is a bit worrying for Gaga's next album. Aside from that, Tyler's success helped a good number of his songs back up in streams. We also saw the continued momentum for Tu Boda and WHATCHU KNO ABOUT ME.

I think this is a symptom of the fact that we are getting less and less real new “superstars” as the streaming era goes on. So hitmaker these days is more or less associated as equivalent. But who will be the future Taylor/Drake/Bieber/Adele/Gaga etc etc etc. I’d say at least Billie. But Olivia already looks more like an Avril situation than any of those. Sabrina and Chappell at least have potential, but it’s still so early that who knows. Look how Katy collapsed. But yeah, even Adele has spoken about how her generation of superstars is kinda of it for that term, and I don’t know that she’s necessarily wrong either.

Really hope Bruno & Gaga get to #1! Also hope Billie's team releases physicals or something one week to go for #1 as well. I wonder if "BIRDS OF A FEATHER" can hang around a while and perhaps have a chance at #1 in the new year post-Christmas? Or maybe even a grammys performance boost/sweep could do the trick if it stays stable long enough?

I think at least for most artists, if it has a music video it's at least a single.

I mean, some artists won't even bother to a video for any of their singles of late.

In some capacity sure, but if it’s not sent to a radio format expectations should be quite low for what It can achieve. She’s had Extraordinary success

BOAF would be an all-timer if it manages to go #1 in 2025, especially Grammy time. It will already be so old on the chart by then, its final points total would likely be massive when it exits.

Still have faith in DWAS before holiday takeover, but if not I guess ABS woulda been #1 for the rest of the year if not for holiday music? Oof, and people say radio is stale….

What is the link for the Amazon chart, or what do I go to in Amazon Music to see it?

"LC" must be higher on YouTube and Pandora. Deezer is a thing too. Considering TOTC still has "Espresso" ahead by 10 chart points despite being behind by 3 million streams (and 1500 sales) tells me a lot of the streams for "LC" are the lowest tier.

:ETA: Yeah so the YouTube chart jdanton2 posted shows "LC" ahead by 1.7 million streams there. "Espresso" is ahead by 2.1 million streams on Spotify, so "LC" is really killing it somewhere to then be ahead overall by 3 million streams.
