Disease is basically tailor-made for my personal interests -- dark, chunky electro-pop that fits with some of my Born This Way faves like Government Hooker and Heavy Metal Lover -- but it does seem unlikely to be huge as this sound isn't particularly mainstream.

It's reminiscent of the Born This Way sound that have made many of its songs viral on tik tok (Bloody Mary, Judas, Heavy Metal Lover). I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being a smash at least for the Global chart and nice top 10 debut on the Hot 100

Although 'sounds quite fresh' seems a little bit encouraging, I think "Aquamarine" is one of the best releases of the week for sure. The sulty production is divine and despite I have some issues with the structure of the song, I guess I can ignore that in a sort of way. The bridge, which is the 'give me (more)' part, and the one Addison has been teasing for ages (and I say this because it's before "Diet Pepsi" came out) should have been more predominant throughout the track in my opinion.

It honestly sounds like Perfect Illusion with EDM production. The vocals in the chorus are just so grating and unnecessarily theatrical. I feel like that’s also been the main sour thing about her music in recent years. Her vocal style in songs like this compared to her earlier days is a very huge difference.

“Die With a Smile” didn’t really have the vocal style she continues to do in recent years which is what I think played a role in it connecting the way it did relatively compared to past material.

I mean I don’t hate it like you do, but I would agree with you that PI is actually a better comparison point for it than most of BTW and TFM are. I do hate PI though (one of the very few Gaga songs where that’s the case), so this is much better than that for me.
