And One Sweet Day isn't even one of Mariah's top 5 most well known hits anymore. Meanwhile Blinding Lights got just 4 weeks at the top if I recall correctly. Week at #1 doesn't necessarily mean the song will hold up amazingly.
Honestly I think Espresso and Not Like Us are definitely gonna be remembered more in a few years. But that's not to say ABS will be forgotten. At the very least we will bring it up when the next random song closes in on the #1 record, which at this point is bound to happen at least every couple years thanks to streaming.

A Bar Song is the song that no one is gonna remember in 3 years. Not Like Us is absolutely the 2024 song of the year and that’s coming from a Drake fan. I mean… it may very well end up the longest running #1 in hot 100 history, so that seems extreme. The only one in the 15+ club that doesn’t seem particularly well remembered now I feel like is One Sweet Day. And that’s really just bc it’s the only one not from the past decade, and Mariah has tons of songs that overshadow it today. Last Night by Wallen doesn’t either. And that’s coming from a MW fan

Last Night will be remembered as long as Morgan Wallen is remembered.
A Bar Song feels like songs such as Tennessee Whiskey and Wagon Wheel in that it will have a niche in...bar playlists.

So this has been a...heavy week to say the least but let's not focus on lalrger and potentially consequential global politics at the moment and just escape to music numbers. As expected, St. Chroma spends a second week at #1 with only a 9.4% drop. It's showing some real staying power, even if it did have a full tracking week this time. We'll see if it can get other formats, particularly radio on board. But more interesting is we have two new entries in the Top 3. The first is one I actually predicted as the megacollab of Sticky was up by 5.34%, and has actually overtaken St. Chroma on Apple Music so expect this to be a streaming juggernaut. But the bigger story comes in at #3. With a monster gain of 20.19%, Gracie Abrams breaks into the Top 3 with That's So True. And considering this has even topped the Apple Music charts, this is undeniably a huge right now and the only question is how bigger can it get, as I expect this will be the #1 for US Spotify next week. Die With A Smile leaps back into the Top 5 though with a 6.31% decrease, showing it has peaked on streaming. It was still enough to leap past the only other Tyler song in the Top 5 - Darling, I - which was down 19.52%. Still impressive Tyler had three songs in the Top 5 for a second week. Sailor Song also rebounded back to #6 with only a 4.58% drop. The last Tyler song in the Top 10, Rah Tah Tah, was down 24.96 and it'll probably be out next week. APT. also went down to #10 with a 22.38%. Still good that a K-pop song from a female act lasted this long but I and other would've liked to see more longevity.
It was the second week for CHROMAKOPIA and it was always going to be an interesting one now that it had a full 7 days of tracking as opposed to 4. We did see harsh drops like Noid collapsing 47.79%, Hey Jane was sent back 39.28%, while Judge Judy and Take Your Mask Off fell 31.32% and 31.57% respectively. But we also saw better holds than expected. Thought I Was Dead only fell 15.79%, and Balloon went down 18.11%. Most curious however is that we actually had another song reach a new peak as Like Him with Lola Young actually climbed up 10.06% in streams. All in all, CHROMAKOPIA put up the third best second week numbers for an album this year, behind the full Tortured Poets Department and Short n' Sweet. With a full 7 days, it earned 105M streams for a strong 23.24% drop.
It was a slow week outside of Tyler's second week. Any hope that Disease might have some longevity were quickly dashed as it crashed 34.31% in streams this week. Love Somebody continues to slide with a 24.6%. But even our debuts disappointed as Lil Uzi Vert's Eternal Atake 2 BOMBED with only 4 songs debuting to a total of 12.4M. It's a far, FAR cry from the monster album debut of the first Eternal Atake. To be fair, it wasn't just Uzi underwhelming as The Weeknd's collab with Anitta 'São Paulo' also underperformed (though it was also a mid-week release), continuing the lukewarm performance of this era. Also since it's past Halloween, we saw several Christmas songs defrosting with the four favorites re-entering the charts. And morbidly, we also did see re-entries for Pain, Numb and Falling Down. All of these have been popular on streaming for a while but considering the election results...yeah, wouldn't be surprised if there were people finding solace in music in this dark times.
Please remember to take care of yourself and your loved ones.
Notable Gains: That's So True - 20.19% Like Him - 10.06% Close to You - 9.83% I miss you, I'm sorry - 9.73%

Die With A Smile is deserving of becoming #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and joining other classic #1 duets such as You Don't Bring Me Flowers; Too Much,Too Little, Too Late; Endless Love; Up Where We Belong; Separate Lives and A Whole New World.

Careful with the word deserving lol. Especially in the year of Espresso which hasn't even gotten to #2 unless I'm forgetting.

The most streamed 2024 songs: Espresso, Beautiful Things and Birds of a Feather didn't reach #1, plus huge hits like Million Dollar Baby, Die With A Smile and Good Luck Babe. we can't be friends, Too Sweet and Please x3 barely made it with one week each.

The hit solely claims the longest rule ever for a song with no accompanying acts.
Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” holds at No. 1 for a 17th total week atop the Billboard Hot 100. Over the chart’s 66-year history, the song is now outright the longest-leading No. 1 ever by an artist with no accompanying acts, surpassing the 16-week command of Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night” in 2023.
Overall, “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” now trails only Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road,” featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, in 2019, for the longest No. 1 run – 19 weeks – in the Hot 100’s archives.
Meanwhile, “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” which became Shaboozey’s first Hot 100 leader in July, one-ups “Last Night” for the longest reign of the 2020s.
“A Bar Song (Tipsy)” additionally extends the longest rule this year, 21 weeks, on the multimetric Hot Country Songs chart. It’s one of only eight titles to reach the milestone since the survey became the genre’s all-encompassing songs chart in 1958. Plus, of hits that have topped both the Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs, “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” is now solely the longest-leading ever on the former, passing “Last Night.”
Elsewhere in the Hot 100’s top 10, Tyler, The Creator’s “Sticky,” featuring GloRilla, Sexyy Red and Lil Wayne, jumps 14-10. It’s Tyler, The Creator’s third career top 10, all tallied in the past two weeks from his new album, Chromakopia, which posts a second week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data, the lattermost metric reflecting purchases of physical singles and digital tracks from full-service digital music retailers; digital singles sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites are excluded from chart calculations. All charts (dated Nov. 16, 2024) will update on Billboard.com tomorrow, Nov. 12). For all chart news, you can follow billboard and billboardcharts on both X, formerly known as Twitter, and Instagram. Luminate, the independent data provider to the Billboard charts, completes a thorough review of all data submissions used in compiling the weekly chart rankings. Luminate reviews and authenticates data. In partnership with Billboard, data deemed suspicious or unverifiable is removed, using established criteria, before final chart calculations are made and published. ‘Tipsy’ Airplay, Streams & Sales “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” on American Dogwood/EMPIRE (with country radio promotion by Magnolia Music), totaled 70.7 million radio airplay audience impressions (down 3% week-over-week), 21.2 million official streams (down 4%) and 5,000 sold (up 2%) in the United States Nov. 1-7.
The track holds for a 15th week at No. 1 on Radio Songs and rises 7-3 after 14 weeks atop Digital Song Sales and 8-5 following nine weeks atop Streaming Songs.
Hits With the Most Weeks at No. 1 All-Time
With “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” now solely in second place, below is a recap of the five longest-leading Hot 100 No. 1s, of 1,175 total leaders dating to the chart’s Aug. 4, 1958, start. (All five have led since the list adopted electronically-monitored Luminate data in November 1991, at which point longer reigns than before subsequently became more common.)
19 weeks, “Old Town Road,” Lil Nas X feat. Billy Ray Cyrus, 2019 17 (to date), “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” Shaboozey, 2024 16, “Last Night,” Morgan Wallen, 2023 16, “Despacito,” Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee feat. Justin Bieber, 2017 16, “One Sweet Day,” Mariah Carey & Boyz II Men, 1995-96
‘Sticky’ Situation
A week earlier, Tyler, The Creator collected his first two Hot 100 top 10s: “St. Chroma,” featuring Daniel Caesar, debuted at No. 7 and “Noid” surged 43-10. While both songs depart the region, a third song of his hits the top 10, as “Sticky,” featuring GloRilla, Sexyy Red and Lil Wayne, bounds 14-10 led by 20.9 million streams (up 5%).
All three tracks are from Tyler, The Creator’s new album, Chromakopia, which posts a second week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
Sexyy Red lands her first Hot 100 top 10, GloRilla adds her second and Lil Wayne, his 26th (and first in over four years). Here’s an updated look at the acts with the most top 10s over the chart’s history:
78, Drake 59, Taylor Swift 38, Madonna 35, The Beatles 32, Rihanna 30, Michael Jackson 29, Elton John 28, Mariah Carey 28, Stevie Wonder 27, Janet Jackson 26, Justin Bieber 26, Lil Wayne 25, Elvis Presley (whose career start predated the Hot 100’s inception)
“Sticky” concurrently soars 4-1 on Streaming Songs. (While the song’s sum of raw streams is the week’s third-highest, it tops Streaming Songs due to the application of weighting to all titles’ paid/subscription and ad-supported on-demand streams and programmed/radio streams.) Tyler, The Creator earns his second leader on the list, a week after “St. Chroma” debuted at No. 1. GloRilla and Sexyy Red each top the chart for the first time, while Lil Wayne adds his third No. 1.
Plus, “Sticky” climbs 3-1 on both the multimetric Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts. On both surveys, Tyler, The Creator reigns for a second time, a week after “St. Chroma” opened on top. GloRilla and Sexyy Red don their first crowns on both rankings and Lil Wayne notches his 12th No. 1 on each chart.
Rest of the Top 10: ‘Die With a Smile’ & More
Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ “Die With a Smile” holds for a second week at its No. 2 Hot 100 high.
Billie Eilish’s “Birds of a Feather” keeps at No. 3 on the Hot 100, after reaching No. 2. It tops the multimetric Hot Rock & Alternative Songs and Hot Alternative Songs charts for a 14th week each.
Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso” is steady at No. 4 on the Hot 100, after hitting No. 3, while her “Taste” pushes 9-7, after it debuted at its No. 2 high.
Teddy Swims’ “Lose Control,” which led the Hot 100 for a week in March, ascends 6-5. It places in the top five for the first time since the chart dated April 27, although it had ranked between Nos. 6 and 10 for the past six months, dating to the May 11 tally. The song has logged the third-most weeks (43) in the top 10 all-time, trailing only the runs of The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” (57 weeks, 2020-21) and The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber’s “Stay” (44 weeks, 2021-22).
Post Malone’s “I Had Some Help,” featuring Morgan Wallen, slips 5-6 on the Hot 100, following six weeks at No. 1 beginning upon its debut in May.
Also in the Hot 100’s top 10, Benson Boone’s No. 2-peaking “Beautiful Things” returns to the region (11-8) and Wallen’s “Love Somebody” dips 8-9, two weeks after it debuted as his third No. 1.

So do yall think A Bar Song is gonna beat Old Town Road record or not? Is there any big drop in the next 3 weeks? I don't think DWAS will overtake it yet.I'm unsure of which one will stick more after the Christmas song onslaught.
Also,i find it interesting that St.Chroma is still somehow outstreaming Sticky.

" “APT.,” released Oct. 18, tops the Global 200 for a third week with 162.2 million streams (down 22% week-over-week) and 14,000 sold (down 21%) worldwide Nov. 1-7. The week before, the duet logged 207.5 million streams, a frame after it debuted with 224.5 million, becoming the first title since the chart started to have logged at least 200 million streams globally in multiple weeks. The song introduces ROSÉ’s solo studio album, rosie, due Dec. 6.
Lady Gaga and Mars’ “Die With a Smile” holds at No. 2 on the Global 200, following eight weeks at No. 1, the most for any song this year. It drew 119.6 million streams (down 5%) worldwide Nov. 1-7 and has tallied over 100 million streams globally in each of the last 10 weeks – surpassing The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber’s “Stay” (nine straight triple-digit weeks in August-October 2021) for the longest such streak since the chart began."

Last Night will be remembered as long as Morgan Wallen is remembered. A Bar Song feels like songs such as Tennessee Whiskey and Wagon Wheel in that it will have a niche in...bar playlists. In my opinion this is seriously underestimating the impact of "TW" and "WW." Those songs are still huge in their most popular versions, but also covered a lot. Stapleton's "Tennessee Whiskey" will end up being one of the highest certified songs of all-time, including above "Last Night."

He has two big performances coming up - November 20th at the CMA Awards and November 28th at the Thanksgiving Football Halftime Show. So, probably, most likely.

Also, this record is really insane when you think about it. Drake is an icon. Even Taylor is still nearly 20 behind him. No one else on that list is even relevant enough to even come close either. Rihanna might get a couple more if she ever releases an album but will still be 30+ away. And DRake will still continue. Even if his domination is over, he surely will still get a few more Top 10s. So he might keep this record for years (decades?) to come.

Even at the time it didn't feel like a record breaking song or nearly as big as I will always love or end of the road/I'll make love to you. I have to disagree here. I'll grant you "IWALY," which has an easy case for being the actual biggest song of the 1990s. I don't see where two those Boyz II Men songs were bigger than "One Sweet Day," though. "OSD" sold over 2 million copies and was one of the top 10 selling singles of the entire 1990s (despite being a second single and being on a huge selling album). Neither of those Boyz II Men songs sold as much despite being lead singles, and then of course "OSD" was a huge airplay hit as well. There's no real case to say "OSD" 'wasn't nearly as big' as those two songs. Sexyy Red lands her first Hot 100 top 10, GloRilla adds her second and Lil Wayne, his 26th (and first in over four years). Here’s an updated look at the acts with the most top 10s over the chart’s history:
78, Drake 59, Taylor Swift
Also, this record is really insane when you think about it. Drake is an icon. Even Taylor is still nearly 20 behind him. I mean, context matters. Drake is certainly huge, but to compare someone like Drake who has a lot of feature credits to someone who mostly has solo hits is kind of absurd. For example, was "What's My Name?" really a #1 hit because of Drake?

The record does not have any qualifiers to it regardless. You can search for a qualifier in anything if you really want to. Either way, with solo features or not, it is still impressive though. But for the purpose of the record/Billboard, they are counting as is. Drake is also at nearly 40 top 10s that he is credited lead on as well which is still almost more than anyone on the list also.

She can easily get close to 15-20 top 10's with her next release, right?

Especially when most of them weren’t true hits and had short chart lives.

Doesn't matter, a record is a record. It is still impressive. If it wasn't impressive, everyone would have inflated numbers. He has plenty of hits, plenty of solo hits, etc. Yet people want to tear him down constantly lol Doesn't matter if it was for 1 week or not, you can't rip apart every chart record for additional qualifiers and stick asterisks next to everything. As I had pointed out as well, he still is among the highest even if you remove "album bombs"
