I feel a bit jealous that I didn't start the topic, but oh well.
I am probably the one who is most anticipating this song and album. The Fragile was an amazing album. However, it seems as if most people's favorite NIN records tend to be the ones they grew up with. And with Dave Grohl playing on drums on some tracks, I'm also excited to hear this.

I uploaded a ripped version from the radio to the YouShareIt.com server. I made the song louder because the original was the crappiest rip from a radio station I've ever heard. KNDD is playing it right now. I was caught completely by surprise when I heard the words "the hand that feeds" but yeah, they're playing it. It sounds like someone taped the song and they're playing the tape into the radio. But on a cursory listen, it's really good. Can't wait to hear this more and give them their second hit on my personal chart. ("Deep" was the first)
They played it again about an hour later as the #1 song on the People's Choice Countdown. The DJ kept stressing though that they'd likely hear from the label sooner or later to stop playing it for a while. But for now, I guess they're all over it.

Holy Hell! I think the entire CD has been leaked! I just thought I would spread the word... For those whom use bittorrent and want NIN... Supposedly, every station played this at midnight so that there would be no gripes about who "world premiered" it. But KNDD went ahead and played it at about 9:50 PM anyway.
I can't wait to hear this more often, if for no other reason, so they can finally give "Closer" a break.

My active rock station WTKX played a 10-second clip of this at least 5 days ago in their "new music" sweeper. KROQ was apparently the first station to play it, sometime between 3 and 7pm yesterday. |

The song is pretty good. It's damn catchy that's for sure, which is why it's getting hated on. But you gotta remember that it's a SINGLE and the rest of the album ain't gonna sound like this, so just enjoy new NIN!

Of the new singles, Audioslave is boring, Coldplay sucks because U2 sucks, and NIN is terrible. Is there a bearable song on the chart at the moment? I'm waiting to be enlightened. |
