Ozzy Osbourne's daughter Kelly has a new record coming out this year on June 7th, Sleep In The Nothing is the title. The single "One Word" will receive some radio airplay about sometime in April or May. I can never wait for any new album to exist.
So the new Ozzy Osbourne record is coming out on the same day as: Coldplay - X&Y Finch - Say Hello To Sunshine Taproot - Blue-Sky Research
First off, let me warn you big dumb idiots that this message is really NOT about Finch, I know all you people like that band, but seriously folks...

What are you talking about? He means the song will do nothing on any of the rock formats, as it probably should.

This song has a dance feeling to it not a rock feeling. I don't think it will be a hit on any format just because of that.
Maybe a little hit in Europe since we like dance music.

I think we should hijack this topic and start talking about Finch. It's about time they came back.

Yeah, I went to go see Finch last summer, expecting to hear most of the What It Is To Burn album. But nobody recognized most of the stuff because it was all new material from an album that still hasn't even been released almost a year later. They didn't even play "Letters To You". What's goin' on.

Did they even release a followup single to "What It Is To Burn"? You'd think a label might want to capitalize on a minor breakthrough like that.

I remember reading that Finch themselves decided not to put out another single because they wanted to focus on their next album.Β A shame really...I thought "Awake" was a smash waiting to happen, and there are other songs that could've worked too. Also, Finch performed at my university's spring concert two years ago.Β I only recognized half the songs, and I remember at least one of them was identified as a new song. Listen. If you wanna talk about Kelly Osbourne's new single, post a thread about it in an appropriate forum

Who's Finch? That guy on American Pie? LOL. This is Finch. They had a #15 hit with "What It Is To Burn" in 2003.

Wow, Finch...talk about completely blocking something from memory. I had forgotten all about that song. It was one of the less-shite rawk songs on the radio back in 2003.

Anyway, back to Finch, it was hard for me to pinpoint who they were at first. I remember hearing "Letters to You" back in summer '02 and thinking, while it was a decent tune, they were another new pop-punk band. But then I heard the song, "What It Is to Burn," and was thrown for a loop. I really liked it, despite it never hitting my Top 40. (It kicked around in the '40's a lot.) Then I remember hearing "Project Mayhem" and the track they did for the Underworld soundtrac (Kirk, what was its title, "Worms of the Earth" or something?) and was even further confused.
Anyway, I wanted a burned copy of it for the longest time, because I didn't want to take a chance buying the album, and finally, my buddy burned me a copy at the beginning of this year. And I feel bad because, I have it with me at school, but it's gotten lost in the shuffle so far. My buddy's gonna go see them at one of their upcoming Missouri dates. Apparently he knows one of the guys in the band from when his own band played a few local dates with Finch a couple years ago.
I hope the new stuff is good.

"What It Is To Burn" was one of my 15 favorite songs of 2003. Any news on the release date for their lead single?
