Why 55? Well, 107 songs made my chart this year. Divide that by 2 and you get 53.5 (discard remainder ). I prefer the year-end chart to be of a multiple of 5, so round that 53 to the nearest 5 and you get 55. Last year was easy, since exactly 100 charted. Clues for 55-52: (I'm not posting 51 yet since the clue is related to 43) 55. One of the artists on this song had another quick peaker make last year's chart. 54. This artist has never had a video miss #1 on the MuchMusic Countdown (ones that didn't chart don't count). This title was the artist's latest to continue the moniker. 53. This was one of Pop's notorious under-achievers this year. 52. Remove the consonants from this title and you get an abbreviation you hope you never have to resort to using. ;) HINT: This title has only 3 vowels, and no two are duplicates. Ponder these for the overnight, and I'll check back in the morning.

Nope.
It's clear that some of these need additional clues, so:
55. One artist featuring another artist. The title of one of the featured artist's #1 hits (and I mean actual #1, not just my chart) is inside this one's title.
54. Peaked at #5 on CHR/Pop.
53. One artist featuring another. The main artist has seen better days - in 2001.

Bryan - What lead you to guess Into You? (Wrong answer) Jason - How could 54 be Senorita? That didn't make my chart. And 53 isn't Feel Good Time either - that missed the year-end. silverwhite - You are correct. The title of Madonna's #1 hit "Music" IS inside the title "Me Against the Music". ;) insect2 - I should've known you'd get this one right; 54 is Sing For the Moment.

Bryan - What lead you to guess Into You? (Wrong answer) I seem to recall "Trade It All" having a quick peak on your chart, which led me to guess "Into You", which also had a featured artist.

You finally got it! 53 is Breathe.
Clues for 51-43: 51. This and the #43 title are tied for longest title on the year-end chart.
50. Like on the Pop chart, this had a very fast fall. Take its Pop peak number, square it, and you get its Top 20 peak number.
49. This artist had last year's #1.
48. Has the same title (but not exactly the same title) as a Top 10 for last year.
47. The first #1 of 2003.
46. Peaked at #8 and spent 13 weeks on.
45. Peaked 5 spots lower than her first song.
44. One artist featuring another artist. The featured artist had another song that also peaked at #9.
43. Take a footage concept, remove its first word, and you get the album that this comes from.
