What songs have charted in their original version and also as covers?
Stats would be interesting too.

My chart has only existed for 5 years so that closes a big window of how many original and cover versions of songs that will be on the chart.
I have only one I could think of: Christina Aguilera's debut hit "Genie In A Bottle" charted at #1 for 4 weeks in 1999. In 2003, Speedway did their own version of GIAB and it charted at #153 when the chart was at 200 positions.

Phil Collins peaked at #3 in 1990 with "Something Happend On The Way To Heaven" and in 2003 Deborah Cox remixed it and it peaked at #31. She will re-enter this upcoming week most likely though.
Would you consider "How Do I Live" and "I Swear" to count becuase if so Leann's version of HDIL peaked at #2 while Trisha's peaked at #34. All 4 Ones version of IS peaked at #4 and JMM's version peaked at #40
Fleetwood Mac took "Landslide" to #2 in 1998 and the Dixie Chicks took their cover to #6 in 2003.
Other than that I am stumped

Off the top of my head, since 1989:
You Got It: Roy Orbison, #11 Bonnie Raitt, #38
What's Up: 4 Non Blondes, #5 D.J. Miko, bubbled under top 50
The Boys Of Summer: D.J. Sammy, #13 The Ataris, #9 (Obviously, the original by Don Henley predated my first chart...)
May be others, but I don't think so.

'Freak Like Me' charted twice, once in 2000 and again in 2002 or something. I forget who done the 2000 one.
'The Boys Of Summer' by DJ Sammy and the Ataris. I think both made my Top 40.
I think that's it?

This has never happened in the six years of my chart.

Yeah, it briefly charted on my chart. Someday I oughta go and find out who it was. They never charted again though. I doubt anyone here heard of them anyways.

The only one I can think of:
White Stripes-Fell In Love With A Girl/Joss Stone-Fell In Love With A Boy
Joss just entered my chart this past week

This has only happened once, with "Boys Of Summer". The DJ Sammy version peaked at #1 and the Ataris peaked at #4.

I don't think it has ever happened. Stella Soleil/Holly Valance almost happened, but my chart began a couple months too late for Stella to chart.
Edit: OK, I found one.
Blaque 2001 Can't Get It Back #2
Mis-Teeq 2003 Can't Get It Back #66
