It looks kind of unfair that the song with the best rating isn't allowed on the main chart. What I care about is ratings independent of where the song is on the Pulse 100. Radio format charts are independent of each other. If I made the chart, some of the Callout Discovery songs I would have excluded for lack of familiarity, but three of them have at least as much familiarity as the song on the chart with the least familiarity. Also, wouldn't it make sense to put the Aaron Carter song nobody heard (and I haven't heard of) on the bottom instead of on top of "Toxic"? It's a big accomplishment to be Number 1 with zero burn. You gave this week and last week scores. Can you use circles or something to indicate bullets? What did you use to break ties? You didn't use trend like R and R does. Or are the tied songs in no particular order?

It looks kind of unfair that the song with the best rating isn't allowed on the main chart. Maybe, but the song only has 33% familiarity anyway, so even if it were high enough on the Pulse 100 chart, it wouldn't be eligible for the main callout chart (songs must reach a 40% familiarity rate in order to be presented, just like in R&R).

Well, the chart is supposed to represent the songs that are in the Top 50 and the Callout Discovery is just a list of new and upcoming songs sent in by people to get a general idea of who likes the song and stuff. It changes week to week and it wouldn't be fair if a song go a 5.0 one week and then got removed the next week.
Rob's program he made for me breaks the ties... although now that I think about it, I'm not even sure it does that.... hmmm.... But ties are usually broken by the %s of the familiarity and burn. If you have a high familiarity and a low burn, that's a bigger achievement than a high burn and low familiarity.
Aaron's song should be the lowest in that list. I forgot to move him down. He originally had a 3.0 average yet no familiarity so I had to assume that the 3 average was accidental since no one voted "Yes" under familiarity.

I'm trying to take a more active role in Pulse now b/c I feel it's too skewed towards... well you all know. I did the survey because it's self-explanatory, but beyond that I don't understand what it's purpose is.

Just for fun, I suppose. Whatever the purpose of ratethemusic.com is, that's what its purpose is for here too. ;)

Deadline is tomorrow!
Since the last update, I have received callouts from okletthisworksvp and silverwhite. If your list wasn't mentioned in this or the last post, it probably didn't send but I haven't had any problems lately with the callout form or anything.
So get sending!
Also, the official Pulse Nominations for the Pulse Music Awards will go on the Callout website too, probably next week or something.

Well, I won't be able to do the stuff until tomorrow anyways so whenever I take down the form, that'll be it so you guys have until tomorrow evening. ;) I only set the Friday date so people would do it before then. I'll probably set a Sunday deadline from now on since I'm more likely to be able to work on the stuff then.
