I misunderstood your clue for #128; I thought you meant the song that spent the most time at #1...that was "Physical", though I couldn't see the bodyguard connection, lol... Do you mean the #1 song that spent the most weeks on the Hot 100? SPro got the bodyguard connection. So what was her longest reigning number one on that chart in the 80s?

Guess no one has any thoughts on the missing two yet. Maybe I should have italicized part of the clue for #130:
This act scored their first number one at the end of the 70s and, this, their second number one, only a couple of years later. With success like that, it certainly wasn't the worst of times for them.
There. That help?
The artist at #124 has already appeared much earlier on the chart. In fact, his last name was briefly in dispute.
See if those send you in the right direction and I'll be back with some fresh clues.

124) Stevie Wonder - That Girl Correct. #130 still remains. Stones will break your bones, too. ;) Here's five more to add to that: 120. If You reduced your vital blood-pumping organ to freezing temperatures, you could be considered this. 119. This artist must have been a strong strong man. Both of his chart toppers replaced songs by George Michael, who was absolutely huge at the time. This was the first hit to do so. 118. Based on when it peaked, this is the only song that has the distinction of appearing on, both, this chart, and my best of the 1990s chart (http://pulsemusic.proboards12.com/index.cgi?board=personal&action=display&thread=1077395027). 117. YELL REALLY LOUD! 116. Perhaps it's the opposite of "together in death".

#120 is the only incorrect guess. You got the right organ, though.
Since #130 has, finally, been guessed, here's a recap of the first 40:
160 Peter Gabriel - Sledgehammer 159 Stevie Wonder - Master Blaster (Jammin') 158 Chaka Khan - I Feel For You 157 Simple Minds - Don't You (Forget About Me) 156 Roxette - Listen To Your Heart 155 Michael McDonald - I Keep Forgettin' (Every Time You're Near) 154 Milli Vanilli - Girl I'm Gonna Miss You 153 Wham! - Everything She Wants 152 Def Leppard - Pour Some Sugar On Me 151 Steve Winwood - Higher Love 150 Bon Jovi - You Give Love A Bad Name 149 Billy Ocean - There'll Be Sad Songs (To Make You Cry) 148 Falco - Rock Me Amadeus 147 Cutting Crew - (I Just) Died In Your Arms 146 Billy Ocean - Caribbean Queen (No More Love On The Run) 145 Lionel Richie - Truly 144 Prince and The Revolution - Kiss 143 Bette Midler - The Rose 142 Tiffany - I Think We're Alone Now 141 Madonna - Papa Don't Preach 140 Men At Work - Who Can It Be Now? 139 Daryl Hall and John Oates - Out Of Touch 138 John Lennon - Woman 137 Whitesnake - Here I Go Again 136 Foreigner - I Want To Know What Love Is 135 Bryan Adams - Heaven 134 Terence Trent D'Arby - Wishing Well 133 Tiffany - Could've Been 132 Smokey Robinson - Being With You 131 Michael Jackson - Man In The Mirror 130 Styx - The Best Of Times 129 Bette Midler - Wind Beneath My Wings 128 Whitney Houston - The Greatest Love Of All 127 Phil Collins - Groovy Kind Of Love 126 Joey Scarbury - Theme From "The Greatest American Hero" (Believe It Or Not) 125 Madonna - Like A Prayer 124 Stevie Wonder - That Girl 123 Chicago - Hard Habit To Break 122 Paul Young - Everytime You Go Away 121 Gloria Estefan and Miami Sound Machine - Anything For You
120, 119, and 116 remain from the previous set of clues. And here's five more to finish out that set of ten:
115. The first number one for this Boston boy band.
114. This number one was also recorded live, in a city in Scotland.
113. The title of this song had to be slightly altered. A country artist charted around the same time with a song of the same name, so this song's title became the subtitle and a new main title was used.
112. The only chart topper of the decade recorded, entirely, in a foreign language.
111. The only number one hit for an Aussie act that disbanded in the mid-90s after the, apparent, suicide of their frontman.

No one's trying for any of these? I think I know most of these, though am unsure about some of them...
120. Paula Abdul - Cold Hearted 119. Rick Astley - Never Gonna Give You Up 116. Phil Collins - Separate Lives (duet with someone, don't know who..) 115. New Kids On The Block - I'll Be Loving You Forever 114. Paul McCartney - Coming Up (?) 113. Shena Easton - Morning Train (9 To 5) (?) 112. Los Lobos - La Bamba (?) 111. INXS - I Need You Tonight

Shena Easton - Morning Train (9 To 5) (?) 112. Los Lobos - La Bamba (?) 111. INXS - I Need You Tonight You're more sure than you thought you were. You got 'em all! "Separate Lives" is a duet with Marliyn Martin. "Coming Up" was recorded live in Glasgow. "Morning Train" had to be added to the title of Sheena Easton's song because Dolly Parton had the similarly titled "9 To 5" on the charts at around that time. To quote our favorite radio host, "as the countdown rolls on...": 110. The title cut from this singer and dancer's debut album. #120 was the follow-up to this single. 109. The structures in these bustling areas are usually made of steel and glass and are erected on concrete footings. This act claims that they were constructed on music. 108. In the spirit of Duran Duran or Talk Talk, another repetitively named act. This was their second number one hit. 107. I don't want to just see you while I'm sleeping, let's go take a drive... 106. Will Smith sort-of remade this song. He kept the chorus intact but reworked most of the lyrics so the song was more personal, a song he dedicated to his son. 105. Remember the artist at #119? Well, this is the second song that one of his hits unseated. 104. This group shares it's name with a southern dessert, a dessert typically made with coconut and slices of fruit. It's also one of the many hits from the beginning of the decade that topped the R&R chart but not the Billboard chart. 103. This duo must not have an alarm clock because they requested that their lover do this before they leave. 102. Part of this song's title is the name of a ticklish red muppet. 101. After fronting the successful group that he co-founded in the late 60s, this artist went solo in 1986 and scored this, his first solo number one. It sounds kind of like the music his former group was performing at the time so you might've thought that the whole group performed on it.

110) Paula Abdul - Forever Your Girl 105) George Michael - Father Figure Yes on 110. 105 is close, but no cigar. Try again. And for the missing 108, think of repeats, but not necessarily of the same spelling.

105) George Michael - One More Try That's it. Still missing the repetitively named (but not repetitively spelled) group at #108. And kicking off the top 100: 100. Three cheers for the young person with the X and Y chromosomes! 99. This venerable R&B collective had a string of hits with one-word titles in the 80s...hits like "Cherish", "Joanna", "Victory" and this song. 98. That hot flickering part at the top of a candle. 97. The act of propelling an aquatic vessel by capturing wind in large canvas sheets is, more simply, described as... 96. Don't shed any tears for this act known for many rock ballads. While they never topped the Billboard chart, they managed to top the R&R chart three times. This was the first of them.

The only one I can think of for 108 is Toni Tony Tone, but it appears they never released anything in the 80s.
100) Deniece Williams - Let's Hear It For The Boy 99) Kool and the Gang - Celebration 98) Cheap Trick - The Flame 97) Christopher Cross - Sailing

The only one I can think of for 108 is Toni Tony Tone, but it appears they never released anything in the 80s. Nope. It's not them. I'll throw a year out to you -- 1986. 100) Deniece Williams - Let's Hear It For The Boy 99) Kool and the Gang - Celebration 98) Cheap Trick - The Flame 97) Christopher Cross - Sailing All correct. So at this point #108 is unsolved... ...as is #96. In your travels you might come across the answer. ;)

108. Mr. Mister - Kyrie 96. Journey - Who's Crying Now Ah, yes. Got 'em both. Now we've got a clean slate to work with: 95. This benefit single featured 45 artists...the most to ever perform on a number one hit. 94. This Australian duo dominated the charts in the early part of the decade, releasing one sappy love ballad after another. This was the only one to top both the Billboard and R&R charts. 93. This hit is instantly recognizable by it's opening guitar riff. It was the subject of parody (both the song and the video) in Weird Al's movie UHF. 92. Birds can't fly if they have this unfortunate physical ailment. 91. Until it was tied in the early 90s, this song held R&R's record for highest debut ever on the pop chart.

Insect got #95. 91. Only thing that comes to mind is "Eye Of The Tiger" by Survivor... probably wrong, though. :( Yeah, that's wrong. Perhaps his name might remind you of ducks. In additon to #91, five more: 90. A female sibling act and a hit with a title that indicates that it could be about playing a round of poker at a decelerated speed. But it's really more intimate than that. 89. The song that kicked off the very first edition of Casey's Top 40. 88. First R&R number one for a female artist who, just recently, admitted to the press of her long-suspected ongoing drug problem. 87. When the doctor taps your knee and your foot kicks forward you can't help it. It's just one of these. 86. Biggest hit of the decade for an act that changed their name several times. They kept the same basic theme though -- an aerial vehicle -- they just got more high-tech.
