Here are a few from my chart:
Sister Hazel "Change Your Mind" -- Peaked only at #30 but spent 15 weeks in my top 40. Looking back this should've gone at least top 10.
Our Lady Peace "Somewhere Out There" -- 22 weeks on the chart, peak #22.
Finger Eleven "One Thing" -- 25 weeks on the chart, peak #20. Obviously I've liked this one for awhile but not enough for it to go past #20.
Those are the most obvious examples for me. Finger Eleven's weeks spent on the chart is pretty normal for a song that goes to #1 on my chart. Actually many songs that go top 10 on my chart fail to make it to 20 weeks.
How 'bout the rest of you?

Well right off the top of my head I remeber Good Charlottes "Lifestyle Of The Rich & Famous" hanging around for almost 20 weeks and only peaking in the mid 20's. Another great example is the current hit by Maroon 5. They are in there 22 week and have just reached a new peak at #14

Sheryl Crow - Soak Up the Sun (#19 peak, 18 weeks) ... this should've def. gone to at least #12, maybe top ten.
Lifehouse - Spin (#16 peak, 17 weeks) ... this song's run seems about right. I don't think I liked it enough for it to go much further.
Hoobastank - Remember Me (#38 peak, 6 weeks) ... this def. deserved to go further than #38.
Coldplay - Clocks (#17 peak, 26 weeks) ... like lifehouse, this song's run is about right. The Scientist was better (and peaked better too), however it didn't have this song's longevity and I don't know why
Triumph the Insult Comic Dog - I Keed! (#38 peak, 8 weeks) ... it was a novelty song that stuck. I don't think this deserved much higher a peak, but prob. didn't deserve the number of weeks it got.
Santana / Chad K. - WDY&I? (#14 peak, 19 weeks) ... truly didn't deserve the longevity it got...

Top 10 Long Charting, Low Peaking Songs For 2003/2004:
The chart is currently 100 positions and I'm only including top 100 songs in this countdown so the weeks number is top 100 weeks. I have a top 200 for a couple months last year.
1. THE ALL-AMERICAN REJECTS - Swing Swing (Weeks: 30 / Peak: #42) Managed to stay on the countdown for 7 months but never cracked the top 40. However, the follow-up "The Last Song" was a massive top ten hit.
2. LAURA PAUSINI - Surrender (Weeks: 31 / Peak: #27) This song has a really slow start but managed to stay on the chart despite that hinderance.
3. NEW FOUND GLORY - Head On Collision (Weeks: 22 / Peak: #36) "Head On Collision" was another song that was stubborn to fall off.
4. NICKELBACK - Someday (Weeks: 20 / Peak: #48) I never really got excited about this song even though it's been a big hit on rock radio and some personal charts.
Tied-5. THE USED - Buried Myself Alive (Weeks: 17 / Peak: #52) and UNCLE KRACKER - Drift Away (Weeks: 17 / Peak: 52) Both artists start with the letter U. Both songs peaked at the same position and had the same amounts of weeks on the chart. Also, both of the songs were on the chart around the same time. There is no way I can seperate these songs on the countdown as they almost are indentical.
7. ZWAN - Honestly (Weeks: 19 / Peak: #37) Zwan will be a one-hit wonder on the chart with "Honestly."
8. DEEPEST BLUE - Deepest Blue (Weeks: 32 / Peak: #19) I wouldn't consider a #19 peak low charting but it managed to spend 32 weeks on the chart despite only charting 10 weeks in the top 40.
9. MISSY ELLIOT feat. LUDACRIS - Gossip Folks (Weeks: 13 / Peak: #82) The song spent 13 weeks in the "danger zone" where songs could fall off at any moment.
Tied-10. MAROON 5 - Harder To Breathe (Weeks: 24 / Peak: #28) and This Love (Weeks: 27 / Peak: #21) These songs were great songs but didn't have the knockout punch (at least IMO) to get them into top ten land.
HONORABLE MENTION
COLDPLAY - The Scientist [First Run: Weeks: 16 / Peak: #50; Second Run: Weeks: 39+ / Peak: # 1 (2); Combined: Weeks: 65+ / Peak: #1 (2)]
I wanted to give an honorable mention to Coldplay's "The Scientist" as its living proof that a long charting, low peaking song can rebound to become a long charting, high peaking song.
The song has a crazy chart run. In its first run, it had 16 weeks with a peak of #50 on the chart and then it fell off the chart in late April 2003. So, it's a respectable run for a song that wasn't even the big Coldplay single at the time (the big single was "Clocks"). I heard "The Scientist" was going to be added to U.S. playlists so I decided to put the song back on the chart the next week. From there, it starting to climb up the chart on a mildly fast pace. Then, it was starting to look like this song was going to be a huge hit on the chart. So, it just kept on climbing and reached #1 in late July 2003, in its official 29th week on the chart (30th week counting the falloff week). The song owns the record for longest climb to #1.
So, the song is starting to wrap its run right now. The song spent 34 weeks in the top 40 section of the chart (more than twice than amount of weeks that was spent in the top 100 of the original chart run). This week, the song is at 65 weeks and the song broke the record of most total weeks on the chart a month ago. The song will probably reach the 70-week barrier but will probably be a long shot at 80 weeks. The year-and-an-half week mark is 78 weeks. Whenever the song falls off the chart, it will definetly set a big record that will be tough to beat in the future.
For a song that was considered a disappointment a year ago is now one of the greatest CNG hits of all-time. And believe me, I didn't plan this all out. When it falled off the chart, I wouldn't never guessed the song would rebound to be a #1 hit and stay for another year more. Wow, it's a cool story of how no song should be underestimated because when it gets momentum, it may go far.

31 weeks with a peak of #31 in a Top 40? Wow! That's even crazier than my 24 weeks for Tracy Chapman with a peak of #81 in a Top 100.
Anyways, some current ones right now include Staind's 'So Far Away' which hit #24 or something but is nearing 30 weeks. It had a slow rise and peak and is still Top 30 after peaking about 2 months back.
Uuhhh... can't think of anyone else right now. Placebo peaking around #20 with about 30 weeks on?

Sting "Brand New Day" spent 28 weeks with a peak of #36. That's easily the best example from my Top 40... there have been a bunch of songs that seemed to last forever with a peak of around #30. The 2nd best example from my chart is probably "All Bout the Money" by Meja which spent 18 weeks with a peak of #31.

Low peaks and long runs became somewhat the norm after I extended my chart from 30 to 40 positions in 09. These are the standouts.
Coldplay - "Life In Technicolor II" - #18 | 16 weeks Kings Of Leon - "Manhattan" - #29 | 11 weeks Rihanna - "Photographs" - #18 | 16 weeks Train - "Hey, Soul Sister" - #11 | 20 weeks Melanie Fiona - "You Stop My Heart" - #24 | 14 weeks

Without looking at chart history, I can only think of these:
"Animal" - Neon Trees (PK: 32, WK: 19) "22" - Taylor Swift (PK: 15, WK: 19) "Burn" - Ellie Goilding (PK: 12, WK: 27) "On Top Of The World" - Imagine Dragons (PK: 17, WK: 32)

I'm too lazy to go back into the database, so these are my top 6 longest charting not 10 ten hits this year.
5. 16 weeks - Heart Attack - Enrique Iglesias* (it peaked at #13) 5. 16 weeks - I Lived - OneRepublic* (it peaked at #28) 3. 18 weeks - Pompeii - Bastille (it peaked at #18) 3. 18 weeks - Love Me Again - John Newman* (it peaked at #20) 2. 21 weeks - Let Her Go - Passenger* (it peaked at #14 in 2013) 1. 26 weeks - Sail - AWOLNATION (it peaked in 2013 at #32 I think....)
* still charting as of week 14

In my top 17 days, "Solo" by Iyaz had a very bizarre run of 8-11-11-16-16-16-17-15-15-14
The closest one I can think of in my top 40 era was Passenger's "Let Her Go" which went 40-40-33-30-29-23-26-31-31-31-31-38

Longest charting songs to miss the top 10 (Not counting Crazy Kids, Locked Out Of Heaven and Right Now which were falling by the time I first compiled my chart so they peaked low despite probably being number ones in their full run)
18 weeks - Lana Del Rey - Without You #17 peak 18 weeks - Lykke Li - I Follow Rivers #11 peak 15 weeks - Bonnie Mckee - American Girl #15 peak 15 weeks - Justin Timberlake - Suit & Tie #15 peak 13 weeks - Beyoncé - Partition #12 peak 12 weeks - Fall Out Boy - MSKWYDITD #11 peak 10 weeks - Avicii - Liar Liar #15 peak 10 weeks - Krewella - Alive #11 peak 10 weeks - Rudimental - Feel The Love #16 peak 10 weeks - Beneath Your Beautiful #20 peak 10 weeks - Havana Brown - Big Banana #14 peak
8 weeks - Taylor Swift - 22 #32 peak 38 - 35 - 34 - 32 - 36 - 36 - 39 - 38 Probably the closest to a "long charting, low peaking" song considering most things peak in the top 20 for me, or spend 2 weeks on the chart.

There are only 2 for me (I consider low-peaking below #50, and longevity if it's 20+ weeks, since I have a Top 100 chart). Both of these are still charting. The Chainsmokers-Paris (39 weeks, peak of #54) Fall Out Boy-Centuries (47 weeks, peak of #52)

The biggest example I can think of is Tory Lanez's LUV which spent 32 weeks on my chart despite a #22 peak. 30+ weeks on my chart is the equivalent of like 50+ weeks on the Hot 100 and #22 isn't very high considering most songs that chart for anywhere near that long would peak inside the top 10, if not top 5.

My songs usually grow on me with time, and spend a good amount of weeks on my personal charts. Sometimes well into the 20 week period before even going top 10. I also don't waste too much time dropping them off gradually. They go recurrent shortly after peaking. Here are a few examples of songs dropping off the chart after spending that last week at the peak. Song peaks are in ().
2010's 19 Warpaint - New Song (26) nineteen weeks on chart with a peak of (26) and out
2000's 21 Bela Nova - Nino (32) twenty-one weeks with a peak of (32) and out
27 Aleks Syntek - De Noche En La Ciudad (14) twenty seven weeks and never reaching top 10. Also it fell off completely when it reached it's peak.
90's 21 Marcy Playground - St. Joe On The School Bus (28) 30 Creed - Higher (23)
80's 17 Rick Springfield - Celebrate Youth (31) 14 Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Two Tribes (37)
