77) A female singer? Wow, I really thought it was "Still" by Brian McKnight. I'll guess Jewel's "Standing Still".

No, it's not "Standing Still". But it did debut the same week as "Still".

Very good!
Now for the next set:
75) CS: This song, by a group whose name starts with a letter that comes very late in the alphabet, is about how much they love God.
74) CS: When Pulse FM went off the air in February 2002, this song, by an artist who was welcomed onto the Christian chart in 2001, was the last song played and the title was appropriate.
73) This song is by the TV-made group whose song, which peaked at #44 last year, was one of my favorite songs of 2003.
72) One of AC's top artists of all time sang a patriotic song after the 9/11/01 attacks.
71) The title of this song - Maggie May did it to Rod Stewart's heart.
GOOD LUCK!!

Well, Jeffster almost got them all right, and even the one he didn't guess correctly, he got the aritst right. It is indeed O-Town and, chebingeo, remember: "I Showed Her" is from 2003. I guess I should have added a few words to the clue. The song peaked in the Top 30 of R&R in 2002.
As soon as someone guesses the song, we'll go on to the next five songs.

That it would!
70) Remember I had that little run-in with that weird man in the grocery store parking lot? I considered calling the police, but then I decided that would be...(the title of the song).
69) A famous piano player featuring a singer with the same first name as one of the cats I used to have.
68) This song is from a movie starring a famed superhero.
67) This artist seemed to be affected with the "#2 curse" until this song.
66) CS: The title of this song - you hear it from many kids at amusement parks.
GOOD LUCK!!

Well, you got 68 and 67 correct, but not 70. The song title for that has three words and it's by a hard rock/alternative band. Check page 6 of the "Things that annoy the heck out of you" topic. It's near the bottom of the page.

"Wasting My Time" is right. And you're on the right track with the Jim Brickman song, since he's the piano player in question, but it was not "Simple Things" (I never had a cat named Rebecca).
A few easier clues:
69) A title that many people have charted with, including Bonnie Raitt and Rita Coolidge.
66) This Christian song has a title that you hear many kids saying at amusement parks near the end of the day.
GOOD LUCK!!

69) Jim Brickman f/ Jane Krawkowski - You 68) no clue. I was thinking of something like "I Want More" or "I Don't Wanna Go Home"... but no songs I can think of with that title.

You're very close with one of those titles. The song charted on 20: The Countdown Magazine in early 2002 and its by an artist who had one of the biggest songs of 2001.

That's the one!
65) Classic case of Third Single Syndrome. After a number one hit and a Top 20 hit, this song barely scraped into the Top 30 nationally. But it was the biggest hit on my chart (especially the other two didn't even make it!)
64) This song didn't get too high here on the R&R chart, but it sure was reluctant to be gone from the Top 40.
63) September 11, 2001 is a perfect example of what this song talks about.
62) This song has something in common with song #77.
61) The first of eight number one songs in 2002 on my chart. The other seven will be featured much, much, much later. The reason this song was so low is because it was #1 for the last two weeks of 2002. It also did well on the R&R chart and was the follow-up to a CHR song that got a brief second wind.
GOOD LUCK!!

63) September 11, 2001 is a perfect example of what this song talks about. All I can think of here is "Hero" by Enrique Iglesias. But then I remembered that you really dislike the song (the reason it didn't appear on your 2001 year-end chart). ;)

Sorry, neither of those are right. "Bad Day" was long gone from my chart in 2002. The song is by a band from a country where there's a lot of green.

Actually, "Beautiful Day" is the song in question. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Just kidding. It is "Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of"
Now for a few easier clues:
64) Look closer at my clue and notice how I got wordy in a few places.
62) This song was already mentioned in the game. Couple that with the original clue and you should have it.
61) The "second wind" I mentioned happened on the CHR/Pop chart. I don't think that many songs got a second wind on that chart in 2002.

#64 was indeed "Here Is Gone" by the Goo Goo Dolls.Β But number 61 was not "Dirrty".Β Remember - I said it was the follow-up to the song. That being said, that one is pretty much in the bag but we still need the number 62 song, which is still unguessed.
About the 9/11 and "Beautiful Day" thing - it actually was a beautiful day, weatherwise, with sunshine and temperatures around 80 degrees. However, given what happened that day, the weather was probably the furthest thing from most people's minds.
