Just how does this work? I'm new here, and I have no clue. If someone would please explain how this works, I would greatly appreciate it!

You make up a list of your favorite songs and post it in whatever "Personal Charts for the Pulse 100" thread is at the top of the page. The Pulse 100 is just a compilation of all the personal charts posted here. 50 points are given to a song that is #1 on a personal chart, 49 points to a #2 song, etc. down to 1 point for the #50 song. If your chart isn't 50 positions, though, that's fine. If you have 20 positions, 31 points will be given to your #20 song. Some guidelines for posting charts -- which are purely for my benefit in decreasing the time it takes for me to compile all these charts into the Pulse 100 -- are shown here. In fact, I think I'm going to re-sticky it for a while.

Okay, awesome!
Now, I have another question. I usually do mine by rearranging the order of the current top 40. Are there specific songs we can/can't use? I'm not sure...

Actually, it's recommended not to restrict yourself to a particular chart. I suppose your #40 song would be one you dislike/hate. If that's the case, I'd recommend only posting a chart of 10 or 20 songs, so that every song on the chart is one you like or can tolerate. Besides that, though, the choice of songs is entirely up to you. Pick from any genre.

Definately DON'T reuse a current chart and just reorder the songs. Unless you actually like the entire chart and that's pretty much the only songs you listen to, otherwise I'd strongly recommend against it.

Yeah, I figured it wouldn't make sense to have points given to a song I don't really like, since Matt offered such advice. I posted my chart in the new thread, you can see what I've done. I only used tracks I like. :) Thanks for the Heads up!
