80) CS:
79) A song, currently in the Top Ten at AC radio, whose climb is somewhat affected on my chart by the cheesy subject matter of the song.
78) CS: This song, though it barely touched the Top 30 on the R&R Christian AC chart, did quite well on the 20: Countdown chart, peaking at number eight.
77) CS: This group had a song that spent practically the entire year on the Christian AC chart, peaking at number two on 20: Countdown. This song was the follow-up to that everlasting hit and it suffered significant recurrent-itis.
76) This huge 2003 hit had enough juice left in it to register on my 2004 chart. Though it was a smash on my chart, it didn't even hit the Top 40 at CHR/Pop.
GOOD LUCK!!

You're right about songs 79 through 76.
(Hint: I didn't leave number 80 blank accidentally)
And another thing: Now that we got #76 out of the way, some of you should see the reason that, when I ran down my number one songs of the year since 1974 in my signature, I omitted 2003's number one songs. It would have given it away.

No, song 80 isn't "Disappear" by Bebo Norman (although, in retrospect, I kinda wish I'd charted that one).
And 78 has already been guessed (and IIRC, "Beauty Of Simplicity did quite well on the R&R Christian AC chart, but I could be wrong).
You were on the right track with "Disappear" as the song kept disappearing from the chart for a few weeks at a time and then returned for a few weeks, left for a few weeks, and so forth, but that's not why I left the clue blank.

Bingo!
75) MILF
74) This remake of a 70s song is climbing up my chart as we speak.
73) CS: The title of this song is a homonym of something that (I hope) everyone received a few weeks ago.
72) Thanks to this, I got a good tan this past summer.
71) This song, which charted in the fall, suffered significant recurrent-itis from the number one song that preceded it.
GOOD LUCK!!

Very good! You got them all right! Of course, I did give pretty easy clues, but still, great job.
70) This massive CHR/Pop song from 2004 made the Top 15 on the AC chart in the nick of time, as it would have been shipped off to recurrentland otherwise.
69) There were two songs with this title that charted in 2004. Only one made it to my year-end survey and it was the one that sampled an early 80s hit.
68) CS: This song appears on the soundtrack of a big movie from 2004 that is said to have been nixed from broadcast on network TV due to its graphic scenes.
67) This song, by a famous drummer, is currently climbing my chart, very likely on its way to number one.
66) This song sounds a lot like "Meant To Live" by Switchfoot.
GOOD LUCK!!

Unfortunately, only one of those is right, song #67. Of the wrong guesses, one of them is coming up later while the other one didn't even chart.

69) There were two songs with this title that charted in 2004. Only one made it to my year-end survey and it was the one that sampled an early 80s hit. I can think of only three song titles that fit. "Fallen" - Mya's samples a 90s song and Sarah McLachlan's doesn't sample. "Breathe" - Michelle's doesn't sample (I don't think), and I'm not sure if Fabolous's made your chart. "Everything" - I don't think either Alanis's or Fefe's sample. So...I have no idea. My only guess is there's another that matches, and it only charted on AC. (I don't regularly follow the AC chart, so this is likely.)

My intuition is telling me either Maroon 5 - This Love or Hoobastank - The Reason, but then something else tells me both are wrong for the same reason that "Here Without You" is wrong.

No, one of those were right.
An easier clue for 69 - both songs charted at AC radio in 2004.

70. "The Reason" - Hoobastank
68. "I See Love" - MercyMe/Third Day/Steven Curtis Chapman (I'll run through the whole Passion soundtrack if I have to for this one)

70 is correct.
68 - you're on the right track. It's from the Passion Of Christ soundtrack and it's a collaboration song. It came close to the Top Ten this past spring.

Well I'll guess Bebo Norman f/ Joy Williams - Yes I Will, but that is not on the "soundtrack" persay. That is, the score to the film contains no songs by Christian artists. There are about 3 "soundtracks" to the album, but the other 2 are songs inspired by the movie, not songs you would hear in the movie.

Well, that is the song in question.
Easier clues:
69) I'm not sure if this "sampled" anything, but it did borrow the bass from an old Hall & Oates song.
66) The guitar at the beginning of this song sounds so much like "Meant To Live" that for the first few months, I had to wait for the vocals to begin to hear which song it was.

About the only thing I can think of is Avril Lavigne's "My Happy Ending". I was actually going to guess "Don't Tell Me". And for the other clue, the only other song I could think of is Heaven by Live & Los Lonely Boys, but I don't think the Live song charted on AC radio.

#66 is indeed "My Happy Ending" (I was going to say something about the song's delay of debuting on AT40, but I felt that would make it too obvious).
#69 is not "Heaven".
Remember - it used the bass of an old Hall & Oates song. The artist who sings the song hit #1 with their debut single back in 1986.

Is it "Sunrise" by Simply Red? I could be wrong, since I guessed it correctly in your 2003 game. If it is right, then I would guess Norah's "Sunrise" is elsewhere (I don't think Duran Duran's song is on there).

It is indeed "Sunrise". The other "Sunrise", however, didn't quite make my chart, since it didn't appeal to me very much.
Now for the next set of clues:
65) CS: This song is by a duo who have the same first names. The song sort of got cheated on 20: The Countdown Magazine back in October (it is still on my Personal Top 30 chart)
64) CS: The title of the song - a type of prayer request people make when they want to keep the subject matter of it private. The singer of the song had a number one Christian AC song in late winter, 2001.
63) CS: This group had two huge songs on the CHR/Pop chart this past year. Their latest one just left the Top Ten.
62) This song, by a R&B artist, is so mellow that it is actually charting at AC radio. Her debut single hit #1 in 2001.
61) I wonder if Nick Lachey liked the movie "Top Gun".

I could only think of SCC, but none of his songs this year fit that clue. Jessica Simpson - Take My Breath Away

Well, 65, 62 and 61 are correct. I forgot to mention that song 63 was the earlier song by the band.
64 is not by Steven Curtis Chapman (I said late winter, 2001 - the only song I remember by him in 2001 was number one in late summer).

Mm-hmm.
Now, how about song #64? The number one song that I spoke of was from March, 2001, if that makes it any easier.
