Mine is "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney. Dolly's wasnt too country for me...and the chart run showed that this is one of the few that went above and beyonce the chart run of the original. A R&B, Pop, and AC CLASSIC

PLAY's take on "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" is a classic and fun for family road trips.

I never heard the original and I've been meaning to at some point but 'Feels Like Home' by Chantal ranks up there in the list anyway and since it's a remake, there we go!

I don't know about best ever, but John Mellencamp's "Wild Night" ranks high on my list.

Hard to choose my all-time favorite. Here's a sample of some remakes that I love: Orgy - "Blue Monday" Fugees - "Killing Me Softly" Pearl Jam - "Last Kiss" Marilyn Manson - "Tainted Love" UB40 - "Can't Help Falling In Love" Limp Bizkit - "Behind Blue Eyes"

Madonna's "American Pie"... I know I know, most people hate the way she did the song, or hate the song to begin with...But it's one of my personal favorites...Oh and Don McLean went to my college so, meh ...

Mariah Carey's "The Beautiful Ones" is my favorite of all time. But Orgy's "Blue Monday" is a close second

As usual when someone puts a good one down, you gotta chime in.
Orgy's Blue Monday was a great re-make. In some ways I think they captured the emotion of the song better than New Order.
And to totally go in a different direction I really liked Gloria Estefan's Everlasting Love.

My favorite remake include: Monica: "Misty Blue" from "The Boy Is Mine Album" great tone and bravado on this track. Very emotional too! "Let's Straighten It Out" feat. Usher from the "Miss Thang" album. These two make BEAUTIFUL music together. Strong vocal perfomances from both artist. "Slow Jam" Usher feat. Monica from his "My Way" album. Babyface added a bridge to this classic and mage magic with with them.
Other favorites include: "Love Don't Live Her Anymore" Faith Evans and Mary J. Blige.
"Our Love" Mary J. Blige
PRESENTLY MY FAVORITE REWORKING OF A SONG IS: "He Loves Me" by Jill Scott is FABULOUSLY redone by Karen Clark Sheard on her new disc "The Heaven's Are Telling" she retitled it "You Love Me" and gave this track a whole new meaning. EXCELLENT vocals by both Karen and her daughter Kierra Sheard.

Speaking of Monica...her remake of "Right Here Waiting" featuring 112, originally done by Richard Marx was a very good song. It was off of her "The Boy Is Mine" album as well. Also, Brandy's remake of Bryan Adams' "(Everything I Do) I Do It For You" was really good.

I like: Counting Crows featuring Vanessa Carlton: "Big Yellow Taxi" Tamia: "Stranger In My House" (original, it's an emotional ballad that shouldn't have dance remixes) This may be one of the only times where I like the "25-54 version" better than the "18-34 version" (those are ages). No Doubt: "It's My Life"

There've been a lot of great ones, but my favorite is Reba McEntire's version of "Fancy".
