Okay, what's all the fuss about? They are both talented inviduals. Beyonce is getting more recognition because of the typeof music she sings. What I like to call R&Bpop. The lyrics have no depth and can reach a mainstream audience. Think about it, Christina has actually tackled some issues with her music (Low Self-Esteem and Homosexual Acceptance, Beautiful; Double Standards and Equality Issues, Can't Hold Us Down; Betrayl and Growth; Fighter) what does Beyonce sing about? Got me lookin' so crazy right now? Baby Boy you stay on my mind? Puh-leeese! Yeah, Christina worked with thesame producers on her album as P!nk, but Christina also co-wrote the songs with them and be for real, the whole music industry works with the same writers and producers, the Neptunes, Jimmy and Terry Lewis, Come on people. It sounds to me like the Christina fanatics go on rampages after there is an attack, which there seem to be many of. They are both talented, who's more deserving? That's the call.
Believe me I HAD MUCH love for Beyonce during her time with DC(where she needs to go back to IMO) but when she went solo I was like...what?....so with that said, to a point I too think she is fake....one reason is if any of you saw the orginal FIRST airing of the 03' EMA's Beyonce was performing with Sean Paul and towards the end of the perf. her track kept skipping which I think is rather pitiful, and should teach her not to lip-sync so much...and she DOES use her "christianity" to cover her tracks up where she dissed other female artists for dressing provocatively.
Well, for me it's not a rivalry. I've always admired Beyonce and her work with Destiny's Child, but I was kind of dissappointed with Dangerously In Love when I first heard it. In my opinion (and you all don't have to agree with me) I find that Christina has proven to me that she is the better artist with the better album (Stripped) and I was sort of appalled at the idea of Beyonce's album getting more Grammy recognition than Christina's. If that's the case, why didn't The Writings on the Wall get an album of the year nomination, which I believe to be a more innovative album from top to bottom than Dangerouly In Love. Also, I don't think it's fair to just accuse us Christina fans of being the die-hard trouble makers because a lot of Beyonce fans on some forums have made a lot of ridiculous and question claims as well. I remember some fans claiming that Beyonce is a better artist because she was "classy without being trashy." Okay? But that's cool because that's their opinion and I just wish that people would learn how to respect the "die-hard X-tina" opinions as well and vice versa.

I personally think Christina has an annoying voice and I'm not a fan of most of her songs either. You can love her if you want though, I won't argue with that.
I don't mind that Beyonce's album doesn't 'tackle real issues', if I want to tackle real issues I'm not gonna be listening to the radio or watching MTV, I'll be volunteering for a non-profit organization or something.

In my opinion i think Beyonce's solo career seems very fake to me. She was much better with her backup singers. This Beyonce has no personality and she is trying way too hard to please her daddy. Matthew Knowles is a money hungry stage father and he is going to send his daughters straight to the hospital if he keeps this up. I remember hearing reports that Beyonce was exausted even before her album came out, imagine her now, and the sad thing is, after this she is going to go directly back into the studio and record a new album with her backup singers. Beyonce doesn't seem to be happy at where she currently is at, i mean with her backup singers they sing songs that have meaning to them, like Survivor and Independent Woman. All she does on this solo album is orgasmically moan her way through the tracks. Even though i think her first two singles are some of the best songs released all year, her album in general is very medicore. The DC albums are much better. I can't wait until her and her backup singers reunite.

Why must we always compare? They are both talented, both successful, and both seem very happy with their careers now.

Christina's work was better, but Beyonce's was more commercially successful. Beyonce is prettier, and she can shake her ass better, but Christina is a better singer, and more exotic.
I'll go with Christina.

How is Beyonce more Commercially successful? Her album hasn't even cracked 2 million copies and she has had two of the biggest hits this year. Her album won't reach "Stripped" sales in America, and espechally worldwide. Christina is the one that's more Successful, Beyonce just relies on hype more.

Beyonce spent 17 weeks on top of the Hot 100, Christina spent 0 weeks there. Beyonce's album hasn't been out a good six months and Christina's has been out for over a year. "Dangerously in Love" is definitely outpacing "Stripped"

"Stripped" sales after 22 weeks: 2.3 Million Copies "Dangerously In Love" sales after 22 weeks: 2.0 Million Copies
;) nice try. And with "Me Myself and I" flopping, "Dangerously In Love" probably won't sell as much as "Stripped". The Album is already ready to fall out of the top 40, when it took Christina more than 10 months to do that.

Oh and actually, Christina spent 16 weeks at the top of the hot 100 in her entire career. In Beyonce is selling more than TWICE what Christina was in her 22nd week. As for weeks at number one on the Hot 100, I meant to say this year. But when you look at it, Beyonce spent more weeks at number one in six months than Christina has in 4 and a half years. Throw in the Destiny's Child number one's (Beyonce wrote every song of hers and Destiny's Child that went to number one, and Christina has only wrote one top single, and she didn't sing it) and Beyonce is slaughtering Christina on the Hot 100. The five Billboard Music nominations as compared to Christina's one only reinforces the fact that Beyonce is the most successful artist. Although all that might change, since I'm pretty sure Christina's name is going to be read more often than anyone else's on Thursday. But in current form, Beyonce is the baddest female on the charts, period. When you combine album sales and single performance, there isn't any other woman in Beyonce's league right now.

But how about Album Sales? There hasn't even been one Destiny's Child album or Beyonce album that has surpassed Christina's album sales. You accusations are false. Beyonce maybe the "it girl" at the moment (like how Avril was last year) but both Avril and Beyonce are still far away from having the same celebrity status as Britney and Christina. They are the two most popular females of this generation, and it will probably always be like that until they become fizzled out like how Madonna and Mariah currently are.

Avril's new CD will follow suit of Alanis' second CD.... #1 entry and a first single that tops the charts!

The Album is already ready to fall out of the top 40, when it took Christina more than 10 months to do that. Christina's album was released during the Christmas season when sales are typically higher. Considering how well Christina Aguilera's album sold compared to her competition at the time I would say Beyonce is definately outpacing her there. The fact that the charts are relative makes them a more accurate measure of performance since sales and airplay are relative. Either way Christina is not entertaining and her music is virtually unlistenable so Beyonce wins by default.

Double Standards... Can't Hold Us Down; LOL, so true, although she "propagated" rather than "tackled" it.
