for both the song and the video?
the song in itself has a really good message (basically the same message that R.E.M. delivered in "Everybody Hurts") but what really impacts me is the video, the testimony of the people that lost a brother, boyfriend, father, son, cousin.. etc. that part of the video is IMO strong enough to make people think...
i don't know, that's what the song and/or video does to me... how 'bout you all?

The song itself is ok-for a band like Good Charlotte. The testimonials made me cringe in embarassment however.

I actually agree with this 100%. But apparently MTV is now starting to play the version of the video without the testimonials.

It's pretty good, but I don't like it quite as much as their other singles.

Best song they released so far from this album. I kind of wish the lyrics weren't so blunt, maybe have more of a hidden meaning.

I agree that it's their best song from the album and that the lyrics are too blunt. The fact that their lyrics are always so basic, and don't have any symbolic value or whatever, is what makes them a Pop band and seperates them from the real bands they try to imitate, like Blink 182.

By far the best song they've released, though it's not saying much.

I have to agree with everyone else and say that the song and video are really good! I was pleasantly surprised by this song.

Second best behind 'Girls And Boys' but I haven't given this one the chance I gave 'G&B' just yet so that's not something written in the stone of my opinion.

I'm really starting to like this. It's now my 2nd favorite Good Charlotte song, behind "The Young And The Hopeless".

Good song. I saw the video with the testimonials, and thought it was great. One of the better videos of 2003.

Why do you need symbolism to be a good songwriter? I like good lyrics and deep meaning quite a bit, but this insitence that if someone doesn't do this, that their lyrics, song, or meaning isn't as good is utter BS. Are artists that paint in the realism style not as talented as impressionists? Of course that's a ridiculous statement, and so is the idea that lyrics can be too blunt to have value. Sorry, but I think some people get too carried away thinking because their opinions mirror some ivory tower critics that it must be fact rather than opinion. I kind of get sick of it.

oops. I forgot to say what I thought of the song I don't really care for it that much. They had a far better ballad on that album that they could have released.
