I've read several Maroon 5 reviews that compare them to Jamiraquoi. My DJ just made the same comparison as he introduced Sunday Morning on the Top 20 Countdown. I'm not familiar with Jamiraquoi. Do you hear a resemblance too? What Jamiraquoi song would you recommend I listen to to compare them. Thanks!

The only song I remember is "Virtual Insanity", which was a big hit back in the day. Don't really see any M5 similarities tho.

The only similarity is the voices of Jay Kay and Adam Levine. Maroon 5 are more Hall & Oates and Jamiroquai sound more like Stevie Wonder. A lot of Jamiroquai's music is straight out funk.

Jamiroquai is awesome. I have 3 of their albums, I also like Maroon 5.

The only similarity I can hear is that "Sunday Morning" and most things by Jamiroquai are jazzy. I don't think the vocals are that similar. Maybe they'd be similar if you took Jamiroquai's vocalist, threw in some pepper spray and then put it on a record and scratched it up for awhile.

Vocal style and R&B influences only - Jamiroquai bridges R&B, funk and dance styles, whereas Maroon5 bridges rock, R&B, and blues.

I can understand where the similarities and comparisons come from but if I were a huge fan of either style of music, I'd think it to be outrageous!
