I moved it here because it's more suited here than Nostalgia. Gee, I really don't want to start a new conflagration , but "Nostalgia" is full of topics where people give their opinion on songs; while this subject, which involves facts, is better suited to "Your Opinion Please?" ??? No comprende...

No comprende... The Nostalgia forum is for discussion of old songs. Your Opinion is basically for asking any kind of question.

Queens Of The Stone Age + Dave Grohl (you excluded Foo Fighters, but Queens Of The Stone Age was not started by Dave Grohl and I'm assuming didn't exist when Kurt Cobain died) Did P.O.D. take a member from another band to replace the member that left?

Queens Of The Stone Age + Dave Grohl (you excluded Foo Fighters, but Queens Of The Stone Age was not started by Dave Grohl and I'm assuming didn't exist when Kurt Cobain died) I don't think Dave Grohl is a permanent member of Queens of the Stone Age, I think he only wanted to collaborate with them on Song For The Deaf. In fact, I don't think they have a permanent drummer at all.

I don't see why this should be in "Your Opinion Please," because there really is nothing having to do with opinion in declaring which bands added members... maybe Music News or Off-Topic or something.
[red]LIFEHOUSE[/red] + Sean Woolstenhume (The Calling), and this works because he didn't leave for the purpose of forming the band... as if there was any difference... lol.

I don't think Dave Grohl is a permanent member of Queens of the Stone Age, I think he only wanted to collaborate with them on Song For The Deaf. In fact, I don't think they have a permanent drummer at all. I don't care as long as he made a whole album with them. I don't think he would be the first person to be part of a group for only one album. If they don't have a permanent drummer I wouldn't be surprised for Dave to work with them again. After two big rock format hits why go to another drummer? He made Foo Fighters and Queens Of The Stone Age albums at or near the same time so that isn't a problem for him.

Did P.O.D. take a member from another band to replace the member that left? Yeah, their new guitarist, Jason Truby, came from the Christian metal band Living Sacrifice. And speaking of them, Evanescence's permanent drummer, Rocky Gray, also came from Living Sacrifice. (They split up following the singer's decision to quit and devote more time to his family.) Living Sacrifice is a favorite band of a close buddy of mine.

Agreed. The Indigo Girls are a folk/pop duo and I really doubt one of them would join a group like the Black Eyed Peas.
I think John musta meant Wild Orchid.

I forgot they added him.Β He came up with Open Arms didn't he? He sure did. On Behind the Music, Cain mentioned how he wrote the opening piano hook and played it for John Waite back when they were in The Baby's. John thought it was rubbish. It turned out to be one of the biggest hits of the last 25 years.
