Surprisingly despite airplay on top of airplay, I'm not that burnt out on "Hey Ya" yet. It's just so uplifting that I can't get sick of it. I even rebulleted it on my personal chart for next week.

I'm getting rather tired of it, but it's taken a while. It's down to #15 in its 23rd week on my chart, and should be off the top 50 after 26 or 27 weeks. Maybe 15-20-27-35-44-off.

Had it not been grossly overplayed, this sought potential on my chart, but only managed a #32 peak position, failing to chart on my top 150 of 2003 by only 1 point, and most likely will not make the 2004 year-end either.
I used to respect Outkast for being different that the crap, but due to them being played every other song, I have no interest in them anymore.

I'm getting rather tired of it, but it's taken a while. Same here... seems like everytime I turn on the radio it's being played.

It's taking a while for the burnout to set in. It's still top 20 on my chart, and it'll likely have a relatively moderate fall.

I have hated this song since the day I first heard it. I am so glad it is almost over with. And what the hell was up with that performance how stupid was that.

I hate the song now! It is a good song, but I can't stand the damn thing! Here's why, it was #1 on my Pop, Rhythmic, Alternative, and Hot AC station at one point. Now it's beginning to rise and rise on my other Hot AC station, I can't imagine if any other state has played this overrated song anymore than Colorado has. I would have to kill anyone who requests it on the radio in Colorado, because if yout turn on the radio.... it will be there. There have been several instances, I mean several, where it was on two stations at once.

How sick am I of "Hey Ya"? I don't know if I've ever been MORE sick of a song than I am of "Hey Ya"!

As I said in the other topic, the bottom of its tolerability has fallen straight to hell.

When I first heard the track, I liked it but I didn't really seem to jump up and down for it.
But recently, the song strangely grew on me for some odd reason. I guess the true "poppy" and radiofriendliness nature of the track made it undeniable.

Chart run on my chart so far: 20-11-3-1-2-1-1-1-1-3-3-3-5-7-7-8-9-12
I'm not all that sick of it...the song I'm really sick of is "Someday". 20 weeks on the pop chart and still rising bulleted? Let the song die already.

I'm not sick of it...I still think it's a great track. It's not like I listen to the radio 24-7, and when I do, I listen to a variety of formats, so I guess it wasn't overplayed for me.

It's such a great uptempo and positive song. I don't think I'll ever get sick of it. It's not often a song like this comes around. I don't hear it a lot though because I never listen to the radio

Not at all. I can understand pop listeners being sick of it, but I only hear it whenever I voluntarily play it, and when I'm out in a place where I have no control over the music being played. That's a perfect concentration for me. And the song is brilliant.

I used to respect Outkast for being different that the crap, but due to them being played every other song, I have no interest in them anymore. I'm confused? I thought the song was relatively different from anything released now or in the last few years to mainstream radio (can't speak for what I haven't heard) so how does overplay change that? You can't lose respect for them for something that they have no control over, can you? It's such a great uptempo and positive song. I don't think I'll ever get sick of it. It's not often a song like this comes around. I don't hear it a lot though because I never listen to the radio I'm with Rob! The only time I hear it basically is when I play it and it still sounds great! Each listen something new stands out. I recently discovered the claps in the song (after I finally saw the video for the first time). This song is as big as 'Smooth' was for 99/2000 and deservingly so! Definately among the best songs of the decade so far!

I think it's sad that overplay causes people to hate a song so much, or to say that they hate it. In November, I remember almost everyone here loving the song and thinking it was amazing. I agree with Mike..airplay doesn't change the quality of a song...

I never got sick of it.
I don't think I heard it a lot on radio over here - I think most of its airplay came from those stations that like playing its top songs at over 100x a week.

The fact that I'm getting sick of hearing it everytime I turn on the radio doesn't mean that my opinion of it has changed. I still like it, but in moderation.

The poll doesn't ask if you dislike the song. The poll asks if you are sick of listening to it.

Feeling kinda sick of "Hey Ya!" It's a great song, but I don't need to listen to it so many times per day...

Personally I find it sad when someone loves a song and then hates it just because of radio overexposure.
Even being a dominating hit, "Hey Ya" will remain as upbeat and classy as ever.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton
