What, in your opinion is a good song, that has a bad video.
One that somes to mind is i think it was "Head Over Feet" by Alanis. Great song, one of my faves from JLP, but the video was just her in front of a camera.

I'm sure there are many...here are a few that come to mind:
The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony Green Day - When I Come Around (one of their best songs imo, but a really dull video when compared to their others) Blink-182 - I Miss You Red Hot Chili Peppers - Scar Tissue

Prodigy- Firestarter
Matchbox Twenty- Unwell, Bent, Bright Lights, Disease
Trapt- Headstrong
Pretty much any video that's just the band playing on stage unless it is really capturing a raw live energy that feeds the song, which in my opinion, most don't.
Travis- Rain On Me (or whatever that song was called)

Kylie Minogue - In Your Eyes. Great song, but the video was just stupid...i know it was for a Euro-based audience, but it was just her and dancers with lights flashing. Stupid idea...and to use the reason 'the video is too Euro for the US' to not release it in the US is just plain stupid.

Chantal Kreviazuk - Surrounded
I find this video to be pretty boring and she doesn't look good in it at all.

I liked it. :) Go "The Parkers" chick. Billie Piper - "Something Deep Inside" (bad editing, good concept) Shania Twain - "It Only Hurts When I'm Breathing" Faith Hill - "When The Lights Go Down" (the could've been a wonderful story to go with the song) Kelly Clarkson - "Low" There's probably a lot more.

You gotta be kidding me!!!! I totally agree about Verve's video being a classic! It's awesome!!!
And man, are you sure you are talking about Kylie's Come Into My World?? That video is one of the coolest videos from recent years!! I think it's completely amazing and it suits the song greatly!
Anyway, yeah, Blink's I Miss You video is awful. I usually think that Nickelback's video are always bad and boring.

Michelle Branch - Are You Happy Now? Pink - Family Portrait I actually liked both those videos. First of all, Michelle Branch's video tendencies were kind of formulaic in promoting "The Spirit Room", with the same kind of setting and atmosphere, but "Are You Happy Now" is ominous in a very artistic way. It's not a typical video for pop/rock fare. "Family Portrait" wasn't Pink's best, but this more low-budget video still captivated the meaning of the song. Who doesn't watch TV and sometimes see a Pleasantville-like family and wonder "Wouldn't it be nice if we could live like that?" Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I'd say Come Into My World belongs in the other thread. It's a mediocre song with a great video.

Michelle Branch - Are You Happy Now? Pink - Family Portrait I like these videos as well. I love at the end of P!nk's video when the family is eating the cereal called "Pretty Happy." I always thought Michelle Branch's videos were creative yet simple.

I personally think the "Yeah!" video was great, one of the best of the years. I also like the blink one, but could see why someone wouldn't like that one.
SouR - "High Strung" (bo-ring. But I guess they didn't have enough to make a good video) Stone Temple Pilots - "No Way Out"
All I can think of for now.

This is your typical run of the mill club video. If this is one of the years best videos then its been a really REALLY bad year for music videos.

Hoobastank- The Reason. It's not that the video was particularly bad, but I just wished it'd been more relevant to the song, like maybe an episodic love story or something. Anywho, I think the video could have been better.

Modest Mouse - Float On
Not necessarily saying this is a good song, but I don't like this video much. I feel like I'm gonna get motion sickness watching it. Plus, I hate the band's tacky 19th century look. And what's with the sheep? Also, as if layered animation automatically makes the video brilliant.
