Does anyone like her? I've only just heard of her. I mean, I've seen her name mentioned a few times, including on these boards, but only last night did I decide to listen to her.
She is AMAZING! I can't believe I haven't heard more about her. Her voice is like Natalie Imbruglia's, so that's probably why I like her. When she gets angry, her voice cracks kind of like Alanis.
The songs I've heard are Elmo, Beautiful Blue, UFO, Twisty Mirror, and In The Air Tonight, a cover. ITAT was on Tru Calling, and people on a message board I go to were going nuts over it so I decided to check it out. After loving that, I downloaded more. Now, I'm on the hunt for anything Holly!
Are her albums available in the US? I've never seen them, but then again I never looked.

Sour Pie (EP; 1996) and Stuff (1997) are available in the US. Her albums from 2002 and 2003 are only available as imports.
"Numb" got some airplay here (in Tampa) a few years back, not sure how well it did nationally, though...

The only songs that I like from her are "Beautiful Blue" and "Coward".
Other than that I haven't been interested in her music.

Holly is great! I always knew of her as a Canadian female singer but never really listened to her until 'Beautiful Blue' the video came out and it really stole my ears with every listen! It hit #1 for me and went on to be a Top 3 hit of 2002. AMAZING song! Prolly one of my favourites of the decade so far. Her followup 'Losing My Face' also hit #1 for me and then 'Watching Over You' went Top 10... the latter was also on the Men With Brooms Soundtrack.
I saw her in concert last year and got to meet her and got a picture with her: www.geocities.com/joejohnbob_2000/emmholly/hollymike.jpg
While I like her second CD 'Home Is Where My Feet Are', to me it's not as complete as her first full length 'Stuff', which features 'Elmo', 'Water' and 'Coward' and some other greats! 'In The Air Tonight' is a favourite at Holly's concerts and she did it when I saw her too. The recording of the song is great!
Most of the mentioning of Holly on these boards were prolly from me. :)

I remember her song "Numb" back in 1997 or whatever it was.Β I was in 7th grade, I kinda liked the song but only because MuchMusic played the video so often.
I saw the video lately and I was like whoaa I remember this song.
I remember "Elmo" was a title of one of her songs, but I forget how the song goes.
