What singles do you think were really great but for some reason never reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 but you felt they deserved to?
I really think Destiny's Child's "Jumpin Jumpin" should have peaked at #1 instead of #3.
I love that song....

"Complicated"
It would have been #1 if radio stations didn't jump on Dilemma so fast.

So many to list. Virtually every Pop # 1 since November 1991 has deserved to be a Billboard # 1, as Billboard was a Pop chart up until they changed their chart in Novemeber 1991. They are not a Pop Chart anymore.
The big standouts:
Don't Turn Around- Ace Of Base (1994) All I Wanna Do- Sheryl Crow (1994) Another Night- Real McCoy (1994) I Know- Dionne Farris (1995) I'll Be There For You- Rembrandts (1995) Ironic- Alanis Morissette (1996) I Love You Always Forever- Donna Lewis (1996) Don't Speak- No Doubt (1996) You Were Meant For Me- Jewel (1997) Semi-Charmed Life- Third Eye Blind (1997) Torn- Natalie Imbruglia (1998) Iris- Goo Goo Dolls (1998) Every Morning- Sugar Ray (1999) All Star- Smash Mouth (1999) Bye Bye Bye- 'N Sync (2000) Kryptonite- 3 Doors Down (2000) Hanging By A Moment- Lifehouse (2001) In The End- Linkin Park (2002) A Thousand Miles- Vanessa Carlton (2002) Complicated- Avril Lavigne (2002) Bring Me To Life- Evanescence (2003) Miss Independent- Kelly Clarkson (2003) Here Without You- 3 Doors Down (2003) Toxic- Britney Spears (2004) The Reason- Hoobastank (2004)
And those are just the big ones! Actually, looking at the songs I've listed, I've noticed that the list of non-Billboard #1's might be stronger than a list of songs that did go # 1 on Billboard.
Also, I think "Waiting For A Girl Like You" by Foreigner deserved # 1 (it spent, I believe, 10 weeks at # 2 in 1981-82).

Semi-Charmed Life- No Doubt (1997) I believe that it was actually Third Eye Blind that actually did that song, off of their self titled debut in 1997.

How about I list singles that DIDN'T deserve to hit #1? That would be much easier.

Well, I would say every Sarah McLachlan song, but that's too many to list. So let's narrow down the pool of available candidates to "Singles that hit #2 on The Hot 100 that should have been #1."
"Complicated" ~ Avril Lavigne In The End The Reason Hanging By A Moment Celine Dion - It's All Coming Back to Me Now You Were Meant For Me- Jewel (1997)

How about I list singles that DIDN'T deserve to hit #1? That would be much easier. Basically just list anything that topped the chart between 2002 and 2004 and omit Clay Aiken and Kelly Clarkson.

Did Mario Winans hit #1 with 'I Don't Wanna Know'? If not, I think that song is a good example of a hit that should have hit #1 because I think it was huge during its peak. I'd be surprised if it didn't. I'm not suggesting it becuase I'm a huge fan of the song, I just think that if it didn't hit #1, it sure seemed like it.

Considering the average quality of a Billboard #1 hit, "IDWK" definitely should been a #1... along with lots of others (too many to name).
