I want new singles from the following artists. Anyone have any information?
Alanis Morissette - Rumour had it that '8 Easy Steps' was her single but there's no date or no real word on it yet. When is it due out? There should at least be something in Canada since 'Everything' came out months ago. Best be safe at Pop in the US where it just went for adds. (How's it doing, anyway?)
Jason Mraz - 'Curbside Prophet' seems to be only floating on the Hot AC chart and I don't remember seeing it on Triple A, meaning it must have fallen off. I'm sure they can do with one more release from his album... hint hint with 'On Love, In Sadness'?
Evanescence - I'd like Evanescence to do one more single from this CD because I own it. But it makes sense that they aren't, I suppose.
David Usher - He's only had two releases from his CD, and the CD is 10 months old now. Sure 'Surfacing' flopped but I'm sure one last single couldn't have hurt.
Sondre Lerche - It's almost time for a followup to 'Two Way Monologue' from his CD of the same name.
Powderfinger - 'On My Mind' is doing surprisingly well, at least in Canada. I didn't think it would be noticed and thought it was only an Australian release. What's their next single? I hope they push 'My Happiness'. That's among my 10 favourite songs of the last 5 years, fo sho!
Michelle Branch - Maverick did a crappy job with 'Til I Get Over You' and I think they owe Michelle big time by pushing another track from her CD just to make up for choosing that one, or allowing it to be released. 'One Of These Days' is currently flying up my chart!

Updates:
Sondre Lerche apparantly has a video for 'Days That Are Over' so it looks like one of the above is confirmed. The song is one of my favourites from his CD so I'm glad for its release.

I wouldn't want another single from Evanescence.Β I'm really burnt out on all their songs, especially their 4 singles.Β
Time for a new album!
EDIT: I'm also stunned as to why "Surfacing" flopped. I thought it would save his album.

This sounds crazy, but I honestly think Michelle Branch released "'Till I get Over You" to get back at her record company for releasing "Breathe" which didn't perform too well. the record companies decide what gets released. They may defer to the artist in some cases, but they have the final say since it is their promotion and money that backs it. I think you have a case which is not at all unusual these days, where the label had no clue what were good singles to release even if they thought they did.

Evanescence - I'd like Evanescence to do one more single from this CD because I own it. But it makes sense that they aren't, I suppose. If they release a live CD/DVD (there's a rumor going around about one being released in late October) then I can definitely see a fifth single from Fallen to promote that project. We'll see :)

As much as I'd love "Haunted","Hello", or "Imaginary" to be released as a single, I'd rather that Ev concentrate on making a solid sophomore album. :)

Live - two singles from a great album are not enough. "Sweet Release" the best choice by far.
Five for fighting - I think their second single was "Dying"... not their best. I hope they release "The Devil in the wiching wheel" or "One more for love" the third.

I had no idea they even released a second single but I'm pretty sure 'The Devil' is new to Triple A as of this week or last week. I thought that was their second. I didn't hear it yet but I'll be sure to check it out.

I'm being kept up to date on her. Keep your ears open for a possible release from her current album before year's end.

Powderfinger released My Happiness and Waiting For the Sun to alternative in around 2000-2001, My Happiness made it to #20, I don't believe Waiting For the Sun charted. As far as On My Mind goes and the whole Vulture Street album, if they released it, it would definitely get some airplay. The single after On My Mind will either be Love Your Way or Sunsets (equally huge in Australia).
