What are some CDs that you had high expectations for but were completely let down and didn't listen to it after the first couple times you gave it a chance?

HIM - Razorblade Romance: I like "Join Me in Death", but I didn't care much for the rest of the CD. There wasn't many hooks or anything.
All for now.

Live - Secret Samadhi: I love the singles, but the rest of the cd wasn't close to as good.
Seether - Disclaimer: I don't know why I believed there was going to be anything great on this cd. I like the singles, but once again, the rest of the cd is bollocks.
There's a million others, but those two stand out right now.

How anyone can be disapppinted by 'Damita Jo' after the absolute steaming turd that was 'All For You' is beyond me. I mean DJ is mediocre, but it's a step above....

Joy Enriquez, "Joy Enriquez" - What does she want from me? Money. I can see why this was shelved for a couple years before it was finally released. Melanie C, "Reason" - So bad, I didn't buy it even though I am a huge Mel C fan.

I find it funny how they're both holding their hands on their head.
Maybe that's a true omen to sucking the massive one?

I'm sure you would've bought Joy's album too just by passing it at Best Buy and seeing the "fun" album cover. Good thing they didn't use to sad, somber album cover which was released in Japan.

Actually, I probably wouldn't buy it regardless of if it had a happy picture of joy, a sad picture of joy, or a flying crap on it.

They used the yellow cover for Joy's album in Australia (not that I bought it). The pink cover is tacky and gross.
I did buy the "Shake Up The Party"single though!

HIM - Razorblade Romance: I like "Join Me in Death", but I didn't care much for the rest of the CD. There wasn't many hooks or anything. All for now. That's alarming.Β That's the only song I've heard so far (and just this past week, too!), but two of my ex-girlfriends really got into HIM this year. (Because both work at Hot Topic stores.Β And if anyone's been into a Hot Topic this year and taken a good look around, you'd understand.) Since a "disappointment" list wouldn't be too long, I'll consult my CD notebook for recent purchases and come back.
