That's a good question and my favorite bands have definitely changed through the years. My absolute favorite band is Matchbox Twenty. After that, there are many bands that I enjoy. Four top contenders would be: 2) U2 3) The Eagles 4) Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers 5) Led Zep/Counting Crows/REM

Cool... you like Placebo! (even though they're more top 20/30 than five). I'm gonna expand from five to however many I think are necessary. 1) VAST 2) The White Stripes 3) Nine Inch Nails 4) Smashing Pumpkins 5) Garbage 6) Stone Temple Pilots 7) Tool 8) Joy Division 9) Radiohead 10) U2 That's a much better representation, despite just being double that list.

Does it have to be bands? I'm not really much up on bands but my favourite would have to be the sister duo Tegan and Sara! Far behind would be bands like Our Lady Peace and Matchbox Twenty.
Add in No Doubt and the Dixie Chicks.

Does it have to be bands? Yes. You can make your own "Your Top 5 Canadian female duos" topic.

1) Dixie Chicks
and some others that I can't really remember now. Within Temptation would probably be one if I had their album. Green Day probably. Maybe Muse as well. May do 2-5 properly later.

Are they the next EnVogue? Have you heard of them before? :o I don't know anything about them, except their name. They had a featurette in one of those teeny bopper magazines in 2000. I thought naming themselves after a Michael Jackson song was stupid. Little did I know, P.Y.T. turned out to be named after one too! No longer did it mean "Prove Yourself True" once they went the "urban cool" route. (I was so angry!)

Actually, I've never heard of Billie Jean until today! I was searching for Alex Chester (Asian girl kicked outta Dream) and then I searched for Dream's old manager or whatever, Judith Fontaine. I saw Billie Jean on her talent search website and remembered you posted about them here: www.fontainetalent.com/ (under Artists) Apparently, they were on Elektra Records for a short while... whatever that means. :-\
