The 2nd single. I don't have the album but it sounds like a good choice to me.

Whenever I listen to "Animal I Have Become" with this song following it, it makes me think of beastiality.

Well, anyway I think they should've picked one of the slower songs for the 2nd single. I don't ever want to hear this song again so I'm not looking forward to it being overplayed.

Well, anyway I think they should've picked one of the slower songs for the 2nd single.. Now see, this is a trend I wouldn't mind if record labels just promptly killed off. I have nothing against slower songs, in fact a lot of my favorite songs are slow songs, but even still, do you know just how many rock bands in the past five years have followed up their first single with an attempt to show their lighter emotive side? It's beyond annoying at this point.

This is a fair choice that I think I agree that I'll get tired of kind of quickly if its played anywhere as much as Animal I Have Become. I would have probably chose Over & Over, Let It Die, or Time Of Dying over this, but its a decent enough decision. Really any of the songs have the potential to be singles, and there's not that much variety in the album as a whole in my opinion even though there's not one bad song on it.

It's beyond annoying at this point. Exactly. And the trend this year, at least in the alternative format, has been exactly the opposite. Pearl Jam, Yellowcard, Story of the Year, RHCP, Godsmack, among others have each released equally uptempo second singles (Shinedown being an obvious exception). It jeopardizes their pop/Hot AC success, but at least they aren't doing what everyone basically expects them to do. "Animal I Have Become" is doing exceptionally well, especially by my expectations (I expected maybe a top 7 peak). I hope they ride their momentum, and not fizzle out like so many bands have done this year with second singles. That, unfortunately, may very well end their career as a radio-staple. But then again, look at Papa Roach

I would've gone with "Never Too Late"

I really like this song and I think this was a good single choice, the lyrics in the chorus are what make it stand out. However, they have to release "Riot" at some point because that song absolutely rocks!

There's an acoustic version of this? It's the one I've been hearing on the radio.

I think, unlike many of the returning acts failing to garner second single success, this will do quite well for them. Considering they are an active-leaning band, those stations will help them carry this to the top 15.
Well-deserved success. It reminds me of "Coming Undone". The sexual connotation is obvious.

from what I've heard, Never Too Late will be the third single and Riot will be the fourth (if they decide to have four). songs slowly growing on me. I would have prefered something a little slower for a second single but life doesnt always go your way

It's #28 with only 3 weeks on the Alternative chart. Hopefully this becomes a big hit...so far it's my favorite by them.

They played themselves on Jennifer Love Hewitt's B-show, The Ghost Whisperer in an episode about a rocker haunted by a ghost. I didn't watch it.

They also apparently performed "Running Away", the B-side that inexplicably wasn't on their album. If they were going to perform that song on the show, there's no reason why it shouldn't have made the album.
