A higher quality version of this leaked, but it's still live. It's very...screamo.

Who else felt that rush in the pit of their stomach as soon as they glanced at this thread?
I had been wondering what the other five members of Linkin Park were doing these days. I had assumed Mike was busy with Fort Minor, but what do you know, according to the always-accurate Wikipedia LP opened for Metallica in Japan. Both bands have been on "TBA" for quite awhile now, but according to Shinoda, their new album will be released sometime in early 2007.
Will this be available on any live album or is it simply a concert leak? Likely won't get significant airplay, but it's supposedly different from their previous work. I doubt LP's next CD will truly dominate like Meteora did, but who wants to bet the first single goes to #1 in, oh, 3 weeks?

No matter what their next lead single is, it'll go #1 in either its first or second week on the chart.
The real question is if they can keep up that impressive single consistency off their last album or not. And my prediction is Linkin Park will surely earn their seventh chart #1 off the lead single, but their subsequent singles won't perform quite as well, though will still perform well enough.
In other words, the Red Hot Chili Peppers' current #1 record is secure in my view.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

"Qwerty"? What, did Mike or Chester just get lazy when trying to come up with the title or something?

"Qwerty"? What, did Mike or Chester just get lazy when trying to come up with the title or something? That's not the real title. I vaguely recall hearing something about the name being taken off the setlist. Obviously when bands have new songs appear in the setlist, they need to call it something, even if it's just New Song #1, and it's been my experience that songs usually have weird names to start with while they're still coming together. Thus, Qwerty is a temp title until the song gets a real title. But seriously, you really thought they were going to call it Qwerty? How gullible are you? And just to clarify for anyone who might be confused: this, at least for now, is not a single.

Responding to this, I don't think it's any more "screamo" than Linkin Park's other songs. I do note that the guitar sounds a little more like Korn and that Chester's growls are little deeper and rougher on this song. I actually wonder if some of those growls aren't Mike. At any rate, sounds good. Sounds heavier, actually, which is as good direction as any for them to go in.

I haven't heard this, but I do have a new song called "Carousel" by LP that sounds great. Definitely #1 alt if/when it gets released.

Didn't one of the guys form Fort Minor, or is that just a side thing?

Love this song but I hope their singles are catchier and have a little more mainstream appeal... The song's great but it wouldn't do much for them.

Qwerty has passed around in Linkin Park communities for a while, it's nothing new other than a live version.

Who cares? It's not a single, so take it to a different forum.

Who pissed in your Cheerios? I've been chastised in the past by board moderators for discussing chart runs of older songs in the Alt/Rock forum, despite the fact that the folder description reads "Discuss the Alternative, Active Rock, and Rock formats here." If gold chart discussion is considered off-topic, then the same standard should apply to threads like this one, especially considering there is a folder devoted specifically to non-singles and album tracks. And do I even have to mention the big bold disclaimer on the index page regarding people asking for mp3s? Of course, I think Linkin Park is crap, so that's reason enough for me to be pissy.

Moderators don't even move the non-singles anymore (ex: The Killers "Bling") to that forum or lock duplicate threads. So I don't expect this one to be moved over there if it doesn't turn out to be the single.

$20 says this isnt the single. considering the album wont be released till early 2007, doubtful they're gonna talk about the single now. plus the title doesnt have much market appeal. half the audience wont know how to pronounce it, the other half will forget how to spell it.

No, it's not, and neither is being annoyed because you can't discuss ten-year old singles that have finished their run when there are new songs every week going for adds that have more relevance in the now. Being "pissy" is your own problem that you should learn to try to get a grip on. And furthermore, he wasn't asking for an MP3 specifically. He wanted to know where the song was, and sites have linked to it on the internet, and we have posted song links before countless times, so I don't see any problem with his question as it was. By the way, here it is: www.lpassociation.com/Go nuts, Rafaniko. Anyway, I'm not trying to get your goat here, Syrup, but I think you need to relax and be a little less hostile.

If anything, these conformist idiots are making me like Linkin Park even more.
