well if those numbers are supposed to prove me wrong or something, they dont. the single doesnt even go for adds for another 2 weeks.
aside from that, who decides what radio stations get a single before it goes for adds?

I think they put it out to major markets and places where the band has done reasonably well first. Also, I think that's more a good sign than anything if it's in those spots already.

Yeah it's a pretty good sign when the single is headed for the top40 two weeks before it even goes for adds. This will definitely be a big hit.

I just put this song on my MySpace page, not only because it freaking rocks, but more because I hope it scares the living crap out of all my friends with the intro

Wow, it's been awhile since I've posted here. I'd be honored if anyone noticed, for that matter.
Anyway, what can I say about this song? It's catchy like their last releases and has that classic Chevelle sound. But something inside me wishes they would try something different...I'm not sure what exactly it would be...I don't know, tweak the guitars, fiddle with the tempo...just something to differeniate it from their previous releases.
I think, given their recent tours - they've pretty much accepted their crowd at this point. I hope to be remoting them in the near future, if they roll through town as well.

Big surprise: Fastest rising song on all three formats right now (Active, Alt, and Mainstream).

also someone said that they would like to hear breaking benjamin aoustic. they have a diary of jane acoutic version. they are not an acoustic band. thier singer has a hard rock voice, it sounds like crap on a quiet set. Have you heard the acoustic version of "So Cold"? Now THAT is an amazing version. It's much better than the original in my opinion. As for the new Chevelle song, for some reason I kinda get a Deftones feel to it. Maybe it's the way he's singing or something. I'm probably the only one who thinks that haha

^^ I get that Deftones feeling too! The riffing and singing is reminiscent of them at some points.

A +490 bullet on the active rock chart , don't know how often that happens. Wow. This should easily go top5. After multiple listens this doesn't rank among my top10 favorite tracks of theirs but it's easily one of the best new songs on active rock radio right now.

Is it just me or do I see this missing the top 10 on alternative.

This song doesn't look like it will make the Top 5 on Active Rock. I like a lot of their songs but this one just doesn't hit me like "Vitamin R" and "The Clincher". It's kind of bland, ya know. Yes I am much more concerned about their performance on Active Rock than on Alternative. You see in the Twin Cities we really do not have a real alternative station. 105.7 is much more AAA leaning, really. And I listen to 93X prominently.

Funny, 105.7 is St. Louis' Alternative station and 93X is what the independent competitor calls itself.

This album apparently leaked. I'm hunting for it now like a frothy-mouthed rabid man.

p.s. the album is much heavier than "This Type of Thinking..." I Get This, Humanoid and and Antisaint are the best songs off this album. it's a must buy for fans of Chevelle!

I'm in queue right now on Soulseek. Soon it will be mine. I also got Modest Mouse and Onesidezero. I'm pretty content.

I'm glad to hear this finally leaked, but I have to wait until I get back to school from being home for Spring Break to download it. There's actually a reason to look forward to going back in a few days :o

It is hard and loud, the way I like Chevelle to be. So far I really love "Braniac" and "The Fad".

If I thought Type of Thinking was going through the motions a little bit, as I think of "Well Enough Alone," would those of you that have heard the new record recommend I check it out, if harder Chevelle is what I'd welcome?

I think it's the hardest Chevelle record I've heard yet, although I need to give it a few more spins to really let it sink in, but they really do use blast beats on some songs, just like they said they would.
