This song is gaining stations and spins on the mediabase Active Rock chart.
Has anyone heard it yet? Does anyone know when it officially goes for adds?

That's rather odd. Apparently a video had been booked for Arms Around Your Love unless it had been changed last minute.

But, She'll Never Be Your Man is on both the Jump chart and the Taking Off Chart for Active Rock. I just wish they would decide on a real single to release to itunes and/or Real Player. I am beginning to wonder if they are going to make us wait until the CD drops on June 5.

Thanks Wuho. That is an interesting subject for a song, but Chris sounds phenomenal.

Any way related or inspired or associated with the Scissor Sisters? ;)
How are the prospects on this for rock and alternative radio?

One of the best vocal performances I ever heard by Chris. Not my favorite song , but these vocals are insanely good.

WuHo, I can't thank you enough for that link. The more I play that song, the more I love it. This has to be one of, if not THE, best rock or pop vocals of all time. The harmonies are perfect. The man's vocal chords have to be made out of something totally different that the rest of us. He can bend a note until it screams for mercy, and howl until we all scream for mercy. Just, wow. I hope this hits on radio, but quality has never seemed to be the chief criteria for a radio hit.

The title makes no sense...maybe you need to hear the song first.

I read that the lyrics deal with a woman leaving a man for another woman. Hence, she'll never be your man.
The more I listen to the song, the better it gets. Cool piano in it

the A.M. finds me home alone awake in bed morning blinds me had that dream of you again fog is lifting i realize that you're not here and how you left me life disappeared
life is rejection i know you've had your share but this one's special i can't compete with her and did she tell you only she could know your mind and did she sell you i gotta say it one time
she can be your lover she can be your friend she can be your vision of a mother like the one you never had she will know your troubles better than i can but she'll never be your man she'll never be your man she'll never be your man
she's got you thinking of a world where you might fit in a whole lot better than the one you've been living in and did she tell you only she could understand and did she sell you only time will tell
she can be your lover she can be your friend she can be your vision of a mother like the one you never had she will know your troubles better than i can but she'll never be your man she'll never be your man she'll never be your man
she can be your lover she can be your friend she can be your vision of a mother like the one you never had she will know your troubles better than i can but one thing's for sure she'll never be your man
she can be your lover she can be your friend a vision of a mother like the one you never had she will know your troubles better than i can but one thing's for sure she'll never be your man she'll never be your man never be your man she'll never be your man never be your man never be she'll never be your man

Chris Cornell and his label are confusing me. they released No Such Thing. than they decide to release Arms Around Your Love. I went into work and we have a play copy of his album, The Roads We Choose: Retrospective (greatest hits) album. it has 3 of the new songs from the album on it yet this doesn't have a street date. than now he's releasing another song for Carry On.... come onnnnnn. (p.s. you can find the Retrospective album on torrent sites cause I can't find it in any stores).

No Such Thing was the first US single, Arms Around Your Love was overseas. This is the second single. No confusion.

Well No Such Thing is currently at #115 on Alternative and #45 on Active Rock, so I'd imagine not many people are hearing this on their respective stations.

The station I work at is a top 40 station.
I will probably buy the CD anyways.

Just DL'ed the album....pretty damn underwhelming at first listen, although a few tracks stood out to me ('Safe & Sound', 'Finally Forever' and 'Poision Eye' were OK). I have the feeling this album won't do too well on the charts which is a bit of a shame I suppose, although I guess it serves him well for putting this POS out.

www.myspace.com/chriscornellYou can hear his album there. I have to say that I expected Billie Jean to be a train wreck compared to the live version that leaked. Amazing. I haven't really heard most of the rest of the album...but that has to be among the best.

This man could sing the damn phone book and I would still buy it, without actually hearing a song from the album. He is one of those artists that I just support based on that voice alone. I will definitely be buying this today. Luckily, Best Buy has it for 10 bucks. It must be worth at least that, right?

Uh-oh...I am only a couple songs in but the first solo CD was an immediate hit for me. This may be a grower but it's definitely not bad and I'm sure I will end up loving it. His voice sounds flawless. How does he do it??
