I kid, I kid.

Ahh! I want to hear this already! The add date is less than a month away. Usually there is at least a clip by now.

You're right. And seriousness and self-importantness dictates style, charisma, and your ability as an artist. Not really, no...

You're right. And seriousness and self-importantness dictates style, charisma, and your ability as an artist. Not really, no... Good, then. Now we're on the same page. I never understood how AVA got blasted for repeating verses, intros, etc. when bands like Coldplay and U2 did the *exact* *same* thing and yet were praised by critics everywhere. That's not a knack against Coldplay and U2 - I happen to love both bands just as I love this band. But, honestly, critics need any excuse they can get to slam Tom's music, because evidently they've already made up their mind about him, thanks to one man and one man only (Mark Hoppus). Maybe I should tell these critics that Kansas City is flooded by lava. Would they believe me, then?

I never understood how AVA got blasted for repeating verses, intros, etc. I have never heard anybody blast them for that. I have however heard them get blasted for other things, like the fact that Tom's ego overhyped the effort beyond a scope it could possibly provide, the fact that each song is way overdone with bells and whistles like extremely long intros and outros while providing no actual payoff with the song itself, and the fact that the music, when you get right down to it, is largely unoriginal and each song is more or less similar. And the album, lengthy intros and outros aside, is short. And I like the band and their music but I understand these are valid reasons why people knock them around.

It also has partly to do with the fact that Tom treated Mark and Travis badly and basically split up Blink-182 just so he could go and do this thing he's so obviously proud of and probably to some post-breakup fans who still hold a grudge it doesn't really seem worth all the effort he went through. They probably still hold resentment and that is heightening their disappointment.

I heard a low quality live version of this and I like it, but I'm sure the real thing will be a lot better! It's more upbeat and poppy than their previous singles.

You can hear about the first half of this song on the band's MySpace at www.myspace.com/angelsandairwavesI've already decided that I like it better than any song on their last album. That beat is damn catchy.

I really like this song a lot but it's off to a bad start. I would not be surprised if this get's scrapped as the first single, especially with the album date changing.

Well, I mean it still doesn't go for adds for another week and a half and it's currently at #42, so I wouldn't say it's doing bad at all. With the album release date changing though, changing the single may be possible, but I'd keep it if I were them. It's just too damn catchy to pass up to the world.

It's catchy, I suppose, but I prefer all three singles from We Don't Need to Whisper to this.

Well the first tracklisting was supposedly from a Kerrang article, although I can't find confirmation on that. That second tracklisting though is missing "Cosmonaut" and "You're My Only Fear", which are both existing songs, unless they changed the names.

Huge audience impression. (3.038 according to the R3R Mediabase chart). Obviously, people love this song. They haven't abandoned that classic AVA sound.
32 23 ANGELS AND AIRWAVES Everything's Magic 652 508 144 3.038
#23 and rising. Nick sobs uncontrollably and I cheer.

#23 and rising. Nick sobs uncontrollably and I cheer. I've owned We Don't Need to Whisper for most of this year, and while I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet, I enjoyed the three singles. Especially, "The Adventure." I don't know where you get the impression that I dislike AVA's music by any means. I haven't heard this song yet. I'd like to.

If I wanted to hear blink-182, I'd listen to +44. [/rimshot]
Seriously, this is growing on me, but just a little bit.

So far I've been very unimpressed with what I've heard from this album. I'm much more excited to hear what (+44) will put out next year, although it's funny. As much hate as people seem to have for this band and Tom's massive ego, especially on AbsolutePunk, it seems people have FAR much more hate for (+44), which surprises me because I think (+44) put out a pretty solid album.
Then again, it's probably just the lack of Blink-182 tainting people's opinions, which really irks me, because as arguably influential as Blink-182 has been to the pop-punk scene, I think both post-Blink projects have shown a lot more promise. Blink was great for the time, but I honestly haven't listened to any of their albums for a few years now, mostly because the majority of their output now strikes me as immature and hollow. I think both Angels And Airwaves and (+44) have displayed a large amount of growth on their part.
Kind of reminds me of what Kris Roe and The Ataris are going through right now. A lot of people on AbsolutePunk loathe Welcome The Night because it's not the emo-punk that The Ataris used to put out years ago ("San Dimas" is frequently cited) when I think it's actually a really beautiful and touching album of material. But it's not pop-punk and apparently that genre style is revered as holy by AbsolutePunk, so they trashed the album. And now Kris Roe is apparently attempting to bring that sound back for their next album, probably to appease those jerkoffs. It just seems unfair.
Just my thoughts, is all.

I love this song, I think it is very good and enjoyable. It was #1 awhile back on my charts.
I wish it was longer though! =[

Ok, AbsolutePunk says this is the "confirmed" tracklisting, so this should be the last time I post about this.
