See...I am an obsessed Killers fan and I skipped Tranquilize for a while until I started to even begin to tolerate it, never mind like it. Now, I definitely like it. It's not even close to my top 5 Killers songs but it's good. On the flip side, I loved Shadowplay as soon as I heard it. To be honest, neither I nor any of my friends like the original Shadowplay better. In fact, quite the opposite. The original is boring to me, no offense to Joy Division or their fans.

Wow, this is actually borderline amazing. I almost cried when I saw the video. It was enobling.

This video was very reverent and not what I was expecting. The Killers obviously have the means to make a video where it's all about them, but they chose to pay homage. I like that.

This gives me tons of hope their next album won't be the terrible mess Sam's Town was...

A new album to reverse the miserable feelings the previous one evoked.

A new album to reverse the miserable feelings the previous one evoked. You're right, it's a pretty sad album too.

Where did my second "Penance for President" post go? Oh well. Tortuga, that just made my morning...but I'm still too hungover...bleh. Oh Penance, I see you like Zox too. I went to Brown with them and Dan Edinberg is a GREAT guy!

Wow, Control is seriously the best movie I've seen in ages. You don't have to be a fan to appreciate it. The filmmaking speaks for itself but you'll probably leave with a completely new perspective on Ian and the songs he wrote. I like that it didn't paint a heroic portrait...he was flawed....and cruel at times. But, damn. Anton Corbijn really deserves accolades for his, as do Sam Riley and Samantha Morton. I have my fingers crossed for Oscar attention.
