December 7, What will be the Top 10? My predictions 1. 3 Doors Down/Here Without You 2. Trapt/Headstrong 3. Fountains of Wayne/Stacy's Mom 4. Beyonce/Baby Boy 5. Matchbox Twenty/Bright Lights 6. Hillary Duff/So Yesterday 7. Stacie Orrico/More To Life 8. Pink/Trouble 9. Michelle Branch/Breathe 10. Nickelback/Someday Other possible songs in Top 10: Maroon 5 & Santana could still be hanging nearby. "Get Low" probably will hopefully peak soon and then don't have to deal with that anymore. Baby Bash may have a decent shot. Staind's bullet is getting much larger now, they may have a shot now. Outkast, Black Eyed Peas and Britney Spears are all likely candidates for Top 10 in 8 weeks. Nelly Furtado is also taking off pretty well.

I think that either Stacie, Pink, or Trapt will slow down by then.
I'll be very interested to see how accurate this predicition is. I'll have to dig this up on December 7. :)

I have a feeling that Here Without You will not hit #1, and let alone be there in 8 weeks. Its gains have been slowing down and I don't think it can maintain that momentum to climb to the top.
I also think that Pink will miss not be around for that long either. Yes, she might sneak into the top 10, but that song is not the type of song that pop will hold onto, IMO.

1. "Stacy's Mom" 2. "Here Without You" 3. "Baby Boy" 4. "Headstrong" 5. "So Yesterday" 6. "Why Don't You & I" 7. "Bright Lights" 8. "Harder to Breathe" 9. "Hey Ya" 10. "Me Against The Music"
It seems like there's not a lot of Rhythmic stuff, but I really don't see any hip-hop songs flying up the chart right now. I think "Hey Ya" has a good shot, and maybe "Frontin'" too even though it's been in high rotation here since June on other formats.

My Immortal will be way higher than #50 in 8 weeks.

1: 3 Doors Down: Here Without You (I suspect Beyonce will slow down considerably, especially with Crazy In Love still getting many spins, and 3 Doors down will have a long stretch at #1
2: Fountains of Wayne: Stacy's Mom: With alternative pop-punk being a successful trend recently (note Simple Plan's "Addicted") and this song being more Hot AC leaning, this is sure to hit huge.
3: Beyonce/Sean Paul: Baby Boy
4: Me Against The Music: Britney Spears/Madonna: In 8 weeks, sure! But I also am anticipating a quick decline and it will fail to be a strong recurrent, likely to suffer -1000 level losses after a quick ascent to the Top 5.
5: Trapt: Headstrong: Well, how about that? Quite a shocker I must say, as I still fail to see what makes this so radio-friendly? If Trapt can make it this far, I'm sure Chevelle's "Send The Pain Below" or the White Stripes' "Seven Nation Army" could have made it too.
6: Matchbox Twenty: Bright Lights: matchbox twenty is destined to earn their eighth Top-10 hit on CHR/Pop, continuing to solidify their secure position into rock and roll history. A fifth #1 on Hot AC is also certainly likely.
7: Hilary Duff: So Yesterday: With successful sales and fame to young audiences, she is Top-10 material in the making.
8: Michelle Branch: Breathe: This certainly won't be her peak position, but in eight weeks, she should be somewhere right about here. "Breathe" is certainly #1 material, but the question is while her album is selling lacklusterly, will it get promoted as it should?
9: Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz: Get Low: Definitely a hip-hop hit that will likely make a Chingy-like perforance in the Top 10.
10: Nickelback: Someday: I am predicting its bullet to explode within the next few weeks kind of like "Bright Lights" or "Stacy's Mom" and reach somewhere between +500 and +600. This is radio-ready and coming off a 5-times platinum predecessor, this is one track to look out for.
11: Santana: Why Don't You & I?: I predict this single will have some staying power, maintaining its bullet for a few weeks and declining slowly, slower than "Harder To Breathe" which will experience moderate declines (-400 to -500)
12: Nelly/P.Diddy/Murphy Lee: Shake Ya Tailfeather: Just recently being a #1 nhit, it takes time for #1 hits to decline from the top, so it should still be charting by December.
13: Christina Aguilera/Lil Ki: Can't Hold Us Down
14: Nelly Furtado: Powerless: This new single to me has a lot of Hot AC appeal, and maintains the CHR/Pop friendliness that'll serve her well.
15: Staind: So Far Away: By this time, they'll lose their bullet, but they will peak just outside the Top 10.
16: Outkast: Hey Ya: This is a great track but I seriously don't see it becoming a huge hit. Is it just me or does this sound a bit folkish?
17: Pink: Trouble: This may seem quite low to predict Pink in eight weeks when she is just outside the Top 20, yet her bullet has slowed considerably and I believe she is going to hit a wall around the time she reaches #12 on the chart.
18: Baby Bash: Suga Suga
19: Simple Plan: Perfect: Should do considerably well, but will rise slower than "Addicted"
20: Black Eyed Peas: Where Is The Love?: This will be the final week it charts and will go recurrent two weeks before Christmas
21: Clay Aiken: Invisible: Expect this to be a suprise hit for everyone's favorite American Idol runner-up.
22: Live: Heaven: Can Live actually hang on THIS LONG and maintain a bullet? Absolutely. In fact, there's reason to believe "Heaven" may suddenly explode on CHR/Pop radio considering its only been on the Top 40 for a few weeks and be a smash outside of Hot AC!
23: Nelly: Iz U: It's Nelly, so it's destined to be yet another hit for him, no matter if you like it or not.
24: Enrique Iglesias: Addicted: Enrique is bound to likely explode with at least his first single in a follow-up to a triple-platinum "Escape". Expect Shakira to make a similar comeback performance next spring/summer.
25: Missy Elliot: Pass That Dutch: I don't see this being a huge CHR/Pop hit, but because its Missy Elliot, it will have enough steam to make moderate CHR/Pop attention. It is the Urban and CHR/Rhythmic markets where this will be massive.
26: Fuel: Falls On Me
27: Sheryl Crow: First Cut Is The Deepest: This will be my ABSOLUTE DARE! It hasn't went for Adds yet and can it amass enough spins in eight weeks to get this far on the chart? I absolutely believe this! This has beautiful harmonics destined to create another hit for Sheryl!
28: John Mayer: Bigger Than My Body: This is going to pull off a "Calling All Angels"
29: P. Diddy/Lenny Kravitz/Pharrell/Loon: Show Me Your Soul: This won't quite impact as huge as "I Need A Girl" or some of the other huge monster-collaborations, but it'll rise slowly, get attention, and may have a good chance a going Top 10.
30: Blink-182: Feeling This: I am a bit suprised this traclk hasn't crossed anyones mind yet. With pop-punk being a trend going on right now, Blink-182 should continue to fit right at home here and this has he makings of another possible Top-10 smash.
31: Kelly Clarkson: Low: I don't see a recovery to this single and see an imminent big flop on her horizon.
32: Chingy/Ludacris/Snoop Dogg: Holidae In: Chingy should be able to make a charting follow-up, and with these two other well-known faces, it'll happen.
33: Liz Phair: Why Can't I?: This will have staying power due to some stations likely to fluctuate putting her on higher and lower rotations.
34: Dido: White Flag: She'll hang in there, but not as gracefully as "Thankyou"
35: 2pac/Notorious B.I.G: Eminem produced this uncovered track, so it should reach somewhat of an audience.
36: No Doubt: It's My Life: I've heard nothing about this track, and I thought the band was making a hiatus while Gwen Stefani makes a solo project, but I suppose I'll predict a peak here.
37: Maria: I Give, You Take
38: Gavin McDraw: Follow Through (Heatseeker Potential)
39: Good Charlotte: Hold On
40: Sarah McLachlan: Fallen: It'll chart somewhat, though it'll be far from her "Angel" age.
41: 50 Cent: If I Can't: Because his first three singles have given his fourth single severe recurrentitis, it'll affect his CHR/Pop performance. Expect this single to peak around here.
42: Blaque: I'm Good
43: Bubba Sparxxx: Deliverance
44: FeFe Dobson: Take Me Away
45: Jewel: Stand
46: Thalia: Baby I'm In Love
47: Pharrell/Jay Z: Frontin'
48: Ludacris: Stand Up
49: Mary J. Blige: Oooh!
50: O.A.R: Hey Girl
***************Likely To Have +100 Bullets Below Top 50**************
Justin Timberlake: I'm Lovin' It Christina Aguilera: The Voice Within Trapt: Still Frame Switchfoot: Meant To Live 112/Ludacris: Hot & Wet
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

Dang it! I made a topic like this on the old boards maybe 13 or 14 weeks ago! I wonder if I was right...?
Anyways, I won't predict the Top 10 but I'll make various other predictions.
-3 Doors Down will be around #7 on their way down. -'Baby Boy' will be #9 falling maybe from #5 the week before. -'Stacy's Mom' will be falling and down around #20. -'Bright Lights' will be Top 10, maybe #8 -'Breathe' will have peaked just recently. -Pink's second single from the CD will be going for adds shortly or presently. -'Deliverance' will be high in the Top 10, maybe #4 or #3. -Britney Spears and Madonna will be on the bottom or near the bottom of the chart on their way out after a quick peak. -Nelly Furtado will have also recently peaked and maybe be at #23. -Sarah McLachlan will be close to charting but never have taken off. -Sheryl Crow will be in the Top 50 but slowly rising. Maybe moving 36-33. -No Doubt will have had a decent rise. 50-44-36-30-20- or something like that and will be high in the teens. #12?
-There will be 3 songs in the Top 10 that currently aren't on the chart as of this week and one of them will be a song that isn't released as of this week. (the date is October 10th)

More than that. Beyonce and 3DD will be isolated for the top 2 spots for about 4-5 more weeks. There are getting way into the 8000s in spins, and the next two contenders (Fountains of Wayne and Trapt), are only in the mid 5000s.

My predictions for Maroon5 and Santana/Alex Band are already off I think.
Stacie is right on track.

It looks like everyone underpredicted "Hey Ya" It looks like I got close to Beyonce, with #4, but it looks like she'll be #5 in 2 weeks. I'm also close with Stacie Orrico (#7) and Nickelback may make #10! Other than that, Trapt and 3 Doors Down will be 2 spots lower and Fountains of Wayne down a few spots. Michelle Branch is still stuck back near 20, Pink is nearly 70 positions lower, Hillary Duff will also be 30-40 positions behind and Matchbox Twenty about 10-15 behind. Maroon 5 & Santana hanging around is close though. "Get Low" has peaked, and Staind is still hanging on to their bullet! I was also way off on Baby Bash, that song got larger than I ever expected. Interesting, how did everyone else do?

1. "Stacy's Mom" 2. "Here Without You" 3. "Baby Boy" 4. "Headstrong" 5. "So Yesterday" 6. "Why Don't You & I" 7. "Bright Lights" 8. "Harder to Breathe" 9. "Hey Ya" 10. "Me Against The Music" I usually suck at predictions, but I predicted 8 out of 10 of the Top 10 songhs correctly! The orders are a little messed up, but still not bad. I was way wrong about "So Yesterday," but one of the 2 Top 10's I didn't predict is Stacie Orrico so I saw that female teen pop thing coming at least. The other Top 10 song I missed was "Suga Suga" which I still have not heard. This is by FAR the highest charting single I haven't heard.... the pervious record for that was that "Country Girl" song that hit Top 20 earlier this year. Usually I'm familiar with the whole Top 50 so its weird that I don't know the #4 song!

DF Dub's "Country Girl" was a Top 20 hit? :o
I remember z103 had that on their Pump it or Dump it, and it got dumped by 99%, lol
It was a corny song, but it was pretty catchy if u listened to it for a while

I had never heard "Suga Suga" until it was approaching the top 10. Now I hear it fairly often. It's not terrible, but not great.
And again, this shouldn't even be discussed for another two weeks.
