I think what JIVE is doing is smart, they are releasing the single and Album very close together rather then wait 8 weeks like how a lot of artists do to release an album. I think Jive knows that this song is going to Peak really fast and if they released her album any later than 11/18 then the single will be forgotten by then, which would cause her album to sell less.

Despite only 15 adds on impact week, Sean Paul was added in both NYC and LA.
Only 2 adds for Jewel ???
Pleasantly surprised that Sheryl is sneaking in Pop adds every week.

I suppose the 104 adds listed there for Britney are only CHR/Pop adds right? Somehow when I counted, I got 113... Hmm... maybe the rest of those adds were CHR/Rhythmic adds then...

What was the last song to have over 100 adds in one week? Wow, that is very impressive, although partially expected since this is a song by a returning pop star. However, with Britney's recent flops, I am a little taken back. Hurray for Nelly Furtado getting the adds! Oh yeah, and also for Clay Aiken! This song is already top 60 and could be N&A this week on pop!

It wasn't a good week for rap. Will Ludacris ever go Top 10 if he gets only 12 adds when rap is so popular? It's a big deal that Sean Paul, Missy Elliott, and Ludacris got less adds than Lillix who peaked in the 30s and then did not chart with "What I Like About You." I could have seen Chingy featuring Ludacris and Snoop Dogg getting more than 5 adds without going for adds.

I think "The Game Of Love" did too.
EvanJ, rap songs rarely get added much in any given week anyways, so I wouldn't worry.

We had a two artists with the same name topic on R and R. We have two artists named Sasha because I'm assuming the person Sean Paul worked with isn't from dance artist Sasha and Digweed.

Yeah Rap never gets a ton of adds at once, but it tends to pick up steam.
And far too often you see pop artists getting a whole bunch of adds and never really going anywhere...

I am totally not surprised that Britney is doing this well. When it was announcent that Madonna was going to be on it, i expected all of what has happened to happen. It's totally not a surprise to me.

It's totally not a surprise to me. I think Britney would've done well (for now) even without Madonna, but having the Divine Ms. M on it surely doesn't hurt.

Go Nelly! I was not expecting this at all. I was expecting at most 25 adds. I'm also surprised by Lillix's numbers, I would have expected much less. This song is very good though. When Britney's add date comes, I don't think there will be any stations left to add her.

Where do you "count" the adds? Do they have that on mediabase?

Top 60 Markets CHR-Pop Stations That Didn't Add Britney Spears featuring Madonna: WKSC (Chicago) (was added on CHR-Rhythmic WBBM) WKQI (Detroit) It was even added on WSTR. WBZZ (Pittsburgh) KKRZ (Portland) KXXM (San Antonio) WNCI (Columbus) WBBO (Monmouth-Ocean) WZKF (Louisville) WERO (listed as Greenville-Spartanburg, but it's really in Greenville-New Bern-Jacksonville, which is not a Top 60 market) CHR-Rhythmic adds for it in the Top 60 markets: WKTU WBBM WBTS KCJZ KLUC Two out of five are dance stations. 3 Doors Down got a late add on WKSE, and CHR-Rhythmic WPHI gave a late add to "Shake Ya...".

Where do you "count" the adds? Do they have that on mediabase? I went to the Hitmakers site, I wrote down all of the stations that have added the track... (Top 60 markets and Secondary markets) I did the counting and the number turned out to be 113. I believe that 104 figure only represents CHR/Pop adds. There are a few CHR/Rhythmic stations that have added the song as well... maybe that's why the adds number turns out to be 113.

I believe Sasha on the Sean Paul track is the same girl who has that song bubbling under in the clubs and some urban stations for a while now, called "Dat Sexy Body". It uses the same riddim that Sean Paul's "Deport Them" used a few years back.

For the person who asked, the last song to get over 100 adds in one week was none other than Christina Aguilera's Fighter.

Sasha's a guy, unless EvanJ is right and there are two Sasha's. He came to Halifax last month and did a show somewhere downtown. He had a few World Chart Show hits.

Actually, as I pointed out in the artists with the same name topic, there are three Sashas. The British male trance DJ, the German male pop singer (who now goes by Sasha Alexander in the US), and now the female reggae singer.

Actually, Bette Midler is "The Divine Ms. M" Yeah, that's what I meant to say, lol. Instead, I just put what tico wrote the first time.

I'm surprised about Lillix's "Tomorrow" also. I saw the vid debut on TRL! The song's lyrics remind me of "My Best Friend's Wedding" sing-along.
