Britney will probably debut in the top 25, make this already a bigger hit than "Boys" and "Overprotected" in only one week.
Pink will enter the top 20 despite the fact that her new song, and album are both in trouble
3DD and Beyonce! Who will be #1? My bet is Beyonce! But of course 3DD will eventually get to #1
CHUD, the type of song that looks like it will have a fast fall has been falling very slowly for a song in it's 14th week. If it does continue to fall slow it could end up being a bigger hit than songs like "Ska8er Boi" and "Jenny From The Block" which all peaked higher in both spins and position but had a laughable fall.

Droppers look to be MercyMe (recurrent I think), Lil' Kim featuring 50 Cent (recurrent), and Sean Paul. Debuts look to be Clay Aiken, Fuel, and Ludacris featuring Shawnna, or Nelly Furtado if she can pass one of them. M.V.P. is Number 53 with good audience per spin, but may have to peak at 51 or 52. M.V.P. (if it keeps its bullet or gets an add), Blaque, the artist in the debut sentence I mentioned who doesn't debut, Missy Elliott, O.A.R., All-American Rejects, Chingy featuring Ludacris and Snoop Dogg, Young Gunz, Kiley Dean, and Youngbloodz featuring Lil' Jon (1 spin behind Sheryl Crow and should pass her) could be Top 10 New and Active. No Doubt will be New and Active by next week. Enrique is up to Number 102, the only significant instant impact. Good Charlotte: "Say Anything" got 4 spins. Has anybody heard it? There are not too many Number 1 candidates, with only four songs above +500 and one of them not expected to get Number 1 (Britney).

Can you tell me which site I can visit to access that? "I'll Be Missing You" and "Mo' Money, Mo' Problems" are in the top 10?! That's kinda surprising, considering they never even made the weekly top 10! Same with "Luv Me, Luv Me".

Britney has dropped everyones spins gains way down. Pink and Michelle Branch are both now in the +200's. Maroon 5 and Santana's gains are slowly going down, they could lose their bullets within the next week or two. Fountains of Wayne and Trapt make Top 10. "Get Low" may debut next week in the Top 10, but Mya's going to have to lose a lot more spins first. Stacie Orrico's at #15, her bullet is only +89. Kelly Clarkson is also about to lose her bullet. Hillary Duff's gains are down, at #17. The songs from 13-22 look very weak, except Pink, who may bring her gains back up, but who knows. The songs from 23-35 all have bullets, a lot of competition here. Baby Bash, Matchbox 20, and Britney may be able to make Top 20 next week. If Britney makes it, Matchbox 20 may have to settle for #21 next week, unless Pink loses her bullet, which is possible. Staind and Outkast are looking pretty good right now. Michelle Branch isn't, if this song doesn't make Top 10 I'm going to be very disappointed, what is so wrong with this song? Mandy Moore regained her bullet after losing it midweek, this song should make Top 40. Black Eyed Peas currently aren't looking too strong with "Shut Up" and Fefe Dobson only has a gain of +9. Nelly Furtado and Clay Aiken look to be doing really well.

Fountains of Wayne will likely leap 20-9 :o Was Sarah McLachlan's "Angel" the last song to make such a leap?

3DD and Beyonce! Who will be #1? My bet is Beyonce! But of course 3DD will eventually get to #1 Beyonce is back at the top according to the latest update, but spins are really close. Both songs will end up at #1 I'm sure. Fountains of Wayne will likely leap 20-9 :o I first heard this song in July. I never considered #1 to be an option for "Stacy's Mom", but am starting to think otherwise! Great song and great video. Anyone think this will reach the top after Beyonce and 3DD?

Anyone think this will reach the top after Beyonce and 3DD? I would love to see "Stacy's Mom" going to #1 on the pop chart... I mean, you havr a great song AND a great video. However, it's gonna take some time before the song reaches the top. There's a huge gap between #8 and #9, and another huge gap between #7 and #8.

I like "Stacy's Mom" a lot, but I'm not sure if I want to see it at #1. It seems like not a lot of good songs have been at #1 this year, so a #1 song at Pop doesn't seem like an honor to me. If you get what I'm saying, leave it to Pop radio to destroy a song and a band. I can't explain it real well, but maybe some of you know what I'm trying to say.

3DD back at #1! Woohoo!
I wonder if this will be another "Love Don't Cost A Thing"/"Again" run at #1 for this song and "Baby Boy" over the next few weeks...

cant wait 2 c britney at number 1. Don't let big gains get you all riled up. Although Britney will probably debut at #26 or #25, this says nothing. I am still firm in saying this will not hit #1. Right now I predict this one will peak in the 8-13 range.

Looks like Pharrell and Jay-Z are done.... Bubba, Fefe, Nickelback, and Simple Plan should get a boost by tomorrow, as they debuted on AT40 today. 3DD is back at #1. Look like they will take it this week, since we're getting near the #1. Yes, this race is similar to the JLO/Lenny race. "Again" deserved #1 there. The only person who's gains have actually noticeably increased since yesterday is Nelly Furtado. "Powerless" is better than both TOTL and ILAB, and deserves Top 5 at least. It looks like it will be #1 or #2 N&A this week and make a high debut next week. (probably around the mid 30's, hopefully higher.) Rhythmic songs seem to be suffering lately, whats happening? These songs are perfect for the holiday season and it is perfect that are being released now: Who Will I Run To, This I Swear, Bright Lights, Have A Little Faith In Me. Any others you can think of? Will Maroon pass BEP by tonight or will it have to take a 4th week at #6. Whether they keep their bullet or not it looks like they will have a #4 or #3 peak because BEP, CHUD, and SYTF are falling right above them.

Yes, I've been noticing that also. A surge of Hot AC/Alternative based tracks have been crossing over to the pop charts lately. I know that many individuals will be delighted to see such change on pop radio.

Yeah, Pop music is heading towards a new revolution again, it happens every 3 years. Remember in the Fall of 2000 when all of a sudden more Ryhtmic songs were climbing over the Teen Pop songs? The change didn't occur yet but it was beginning to, and then by 2001 teen pop was dying, and Artists like Britney and BSB no longer could score hits, while Christina Aguilera and Nsync had to change their sound in order to score hits (Lady Marmalade, Gone). I bet in 2004 acts like Nelly, and 50 Cent will have a hard time going top ten.

I agree with radiorules there. I think this whole rhytmic thing is a fad. I know it seems like a pretty broad fad, but I think the more specific fad is rhytmic collaberations.
Anyway, about the chart, this year Beyoncé has been battling very closely so far with two songs for the #1 spot ("Where Is the Love?" and "Here without You"). And both Three Doors Down and Beyoncé are competing for the their second #1 of this year, maybe they're trying to make up for the short-lived #1 hit they had earlier that year. I hope Three Doors Down can make it for one week. How often does it happen when a song makes it to #1 during the week but gets bumped down before the final update and never reach #1 officially? Any examples?

Looks like Pharrell and Jay-Z are done.... Nooooo.... oh well, at least it charted, I didn't expect it to do well anyways.
I hope Beyoncé takes back #1. "Here Without You" is so overrated.
I don't exactly think this "whole rhythmic thing" is a fad and that it's fading. If it was, a song like "Get Low" wouldn't be approaching the Top 10.

I'm not saying it's fading, I'm saying it will fade. Of course, I could be wrong, but I don't think I am. I think their will still always be rap music on the pop charts, just not so much and hardly any collaberations.

Did Ashanti's "Foolish" ever reach #1 mid-week? I know that it's best official showing was in a tie with the #1 song, "A Thousand Miles". Vanessa won due to a larger spin gain.

Yes it did, and then Vanessa caught up and took #1 based on gains. I believe that if we had the Mediasbase charts accessible back in 2000, we would have seen Creed's "With Arms Wide Open" take #1 mid-week during 3DD's "Kryptonite"'s last week on the chart. If I remember correctly, on that week, 3DD beat out Creed by 1 spin.

3DD is back at #1. Look like they will take it this week, since we're getting near the #1. Yes, this race is similar to the JLO/Lenny race. "Again" deserved #1 there. Lenny Kravitz's "Again" did reach number one on the R&R pop charts for 3 weeks in fact (interrupted by LDCAT). You must be thinking of AT40, where Again did not reach #1. Back then, AT40 followed a different chart than R&R.
