I bet there will be a tie in spins with Beyonce and 3DD! It's Beautiful/I'm With You all over again only on a much smaller scale.

3 Doors Down now leads by 14 spins over BeyoncΓ©.
Jason Mraz is back in the top 20, so he could stay on for this week. That would make Nelly Furtado the only top 40 entry if he stays in by the final update.

Did anyone notice they added another station to the format? 3 Doors Down and Santana are now played on 128 stations. A Mobile station was added, WYOK-Fm, I believe, and gave some songs increases. Didn't they just add another one this past week? I wonder if they'll keep adding more. IMO, I think they should add a lot of the smaller stations, even if they don't have much to offer audience impression-wise.

When Vanessa and Ashanti were also fighting it out for #1, there was a Rhythmic-leaning station added to the panel but Ashanti lost anyway. WYOK is rather balanced, but their Top 5 are all Hot AC. Here's their playlist. As you can see, even without the addition of WYOK, 3DD will still lead Beyonce by about 3 spins. www.mmr247.com/mmrweb/AllAccess/Stations.asp?c_let=WYOK-FM 1 JOHN MAYER Bigger Than My Body 71 0 71 2 SANTANA Why Don't You & I 70 0 70 3 3 DOORS DOWN Here Without You 67 0 67 4 MAROON 5 Harder To Breathe 67 0 67 5 MATCHBOX TWENTY Bright Lights 65 0 65 6 NELLY/P. WYOK has a 2.7, which I think should be enough to be monitored, especially considering KRBV is monitored with a 1.9. So with two more stations will songs reach 9,000?

I'm fairly certain 3 Doors Down will reach at least 9,500. As I've mentioned before, it's a very inoffensive (unoffensive?) song, even to Rhythmic-leaning Pop stations. The fact that it's struggling on Alternative doesn't bother Pop one bit. (And why should it - this is more mainstream than Alternative.) Oh and speaking of mainstream singles by bands, I'm finally starting to like "Bright Lights," which is already entering its 17th week on the Pulse 100 . It's not classy like "Unwell" but it certainly knows how to sound appealing to the Pop listener.

It's about time WYOK was added to the pop panel. It's been CHR/Pop for over a year now, I think.

The spin gap between 3 Doors Down & Beyonce has widened again to 40 spins. However, Beyonce now has a larger bullet. The songs keep switching around when it comes to bullets but 3 Doors Down still stays on top. Michelle Branch is back up into the +300'S!! I knew this would be the week for both her and Nickelback who gets #29 this week, Michelle Branch is only 7 spins behind Staind, if she passes she could make #30 this week! Staind is getting the Liz Phair treatment right now. No Doubt will have a big debut next week, if Jason Mraz stays on the chart. So far Enrique Iglesias is looking good with his new single, up to #58. It looks like their are several rhytmic songs coming up at the bottom chart, 40's-50's. Ludacris, Chingy, Youngbloodz, and I would assume that Eamon is rhythmic too. Has Sheryl Crow gone for adds? Her remake is really good.

I hope Nickelback loses its bullet soon.
Any pop-friendly rhythmic songs coming up, or is it just "Get Low"-style crap?

J, i really doubt that 3DD will be able to reach 9500, that's kind of ludacris, Considering songs like "Lose Yourself" and "Beautiful" could't even reach 9500 when they had 131 stations playing them. Songs like "Here Without You" are not the type to get played over 9000 spins, these songs are the type that reach #1 in the lower 8000's (like "Bring Me To Life" and "When I'm Gone") and have a very slow fall. In fact, i would say "Baby Boy" has a better chance of being overplayed than "Here Without You". Hopefully it won't happen so "Beautiful" will still hold the record as the only song to reach 9000 spins in 2003, hey i know it's a little unfair, but what achievements aren't un fair to others? It looks like all the songs today have either lost a little or gained more than usual, for example MATM has stabilized, but then again that could be due to the fact that two new stations were added.

It doesn't go for adds for another few weeks. I first heard the song a couple days ago. I hope it does well, this coming from a person who doesn't like Sheryl Crow.

Blah blah blah... believe it or not, but not everything is about Christina Aguilera So what if my prediction is wrong? Sue me. I've already stated my point that 3DD's song is very mainstream and will likely be played at least moderately on all stations. That's different from "Lose Yourself" which is a rap song that some stations will refuse to play >5 times a week and Beautiful which is a horribly boring ballad. Even at its peak there were a number of stations that played LY less than 10 times a week, so Eminem might as well have been played on less number of stations that 3DD is right now and it wouldn't have affected his total by much. So 9500 may be a bit on the high end of a prediction, but you don't get anywhere in this world taking small baby steps all the time so allow me to make the occassional logical leap and go out on a limb when predicting something.

Well, one thing for sure that's not gonna happen tonight is to see MATM's gains go down to +900... just like whoever said...

Hmmm, So "MATM" gained about 70 spins from Friday to Saturday and somewhere around 130 or 140 today, right? The 2 new stations only accounte for 37 spins, therefore, she still gained about 100 spins since yesterday...so she may be stabilizing at this point...

It's funny how a boring ballad reached #1 on your chart J. If "Here Without You" is going to reach 9500, then that means stations will have to be playing it on average of 74 times, very unlikely. I predict 8700 for "Here Without You" and 8600 for "Baby Boy". And about that +900, just wait one more day please.

No no, she gained 85 spins from Friday to Saturday and if you don't count the two stations that were added, she gained 91 spins today, no need to have an erection over 6 extra spins.

No one is getting all up in arms, I was just stating that gaining about the same (sorry my data was so off) for two days in a row, it COULD, mean it's stabilizing.

Gaining steady for a whole week is stabilizing ;) and plus, Britney and Stabilizing are two words that are hardly used, in her entire career she has either been climbing really fast or falling really fast.
Speaking of Britney, i missed her SNL performance last night, would any of you Britney fans please tell me how she sang without Madonna? Was it the version she sang at the NFL game or was it the single version with Madonna's voice on Audio? It would be interesting to know if there is actually two versions of this song that will be released to the public, the Madonna version and the regular version (what will be on her album, both?)

I don't know where does his numbers come from. His counting was wrong, or he might be using some other method of counting on his own... MATM did experience an increase in daily spins from Friday-Saturday to Saturday-Sunday... There's really no need to listen to him anymore because he was wrong in two of his predictions/bets with regards to "Me Against The Music".

+1000 for Britney today, i wonder if she can jump 14 to 11 in one day since there is only like a 200 spin difference between her and the #11 song (which is falling). But if Britney reaches #11, she will have to hold on a while because there is a lot of bulleted songs in the 10-8 positions.

So, maybe not her "entire" career...
