--Mandy has been doing movies lately.

--"Take Me Away" is a real-life experience.

--"Heaven" was written about Ed K's daughter.

--"Never Leave You" has hit #1 in Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland.

--Michelle Branch always takes a black and white camera on tour that she bought in Germany.

--"Breathe" has been a Top 40 hit 3 times this year.

--Bubba's 1st hit was "Ugly" which sampled "Get Ur Freak On."

Really? LOL. I thought I saw Fabolous was Jack Johnson...

Leafstorm, they're two different shows both using the R&R chart data. I'm surprised it took you this long to ask.

AT40 has a longer history and a bit different format with staples like the "Long Distance Dedication".

At one time I think they used different sources for their coutdown.

I know Rick Dee's is a ClearChannel show but I think AT40 is produced independantly and then sydicated. I imagine Clear Channel started Rick Dee's Countdown in order to have their own in-house sow to syndicate.

But right now the main difference seems to be their hosts.

Kevin, both are syndicated shows and at the moment both use the same chart source: the Mediabase CHR/Pop airplay chart, though by the time each show is aired, the chart is two weeks old.

AT40 is a little older than Rick Dees' show, though for about 10 years between '88 and '98, the show was hosted by Shadoe Stevens, and Casey Kasem had is own show "Casey's Top 40". Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 has been going on since the early '80s. Rick's show tends to have more humor and entertainment news, though AT40 is often more accurate chart wise and always plays all the songs on the chart. I'm sure the Toronto area has stations that air these shows sometime during the weekend.

I was gonna ask though, how are songs edited on AT40 now? Are there any weird censoring done to songs?

I haven't heard any strange editing in a long time, but then I'm not really into rap, which is where most of the swearing happens.

I haven't heard any looping since I can't remember when.
