Now that OutKast has broken 4000 plays with an increase of 1035, I predict that numerous members are going to come out of the closet within the next couple weeks and say that "Hey Ya!" sucks and that they've hated it all along.
(so far the only one I've seen that doesn't like it is Josh.)

They'll be balanced out by those who suddenly come out of the closet and claim they like the song simply because it's now a big pop hit, although they wouldn't admit it.

I like it, but I don't love it. I think will get sick of it and I don't think it deserves #1 on the pop charts.

I still really like "Hey Ya", and I wouldn't mind it getting to #1 on pop.

LOL, would this be known as "Evanescence syndrome"? LOL! It's SO true! crash46 hit the nail on the head! If Outkast somehow manage to have back-to-back Top 10s on pop, they'll be critisized for leaving their roots or something to that effect and people will talk about how they're sick of them. I'll call that Destiny's Child syndrome!

I think that's kinda sad. I guess it's natural to get tired of a song if it gets overplayed, but to diss a song just because it does well on the pop chart (or does not do well; whatever) is not making your own opinion. I remember how everyone loved "Bring Me To Life" when it was gaining on alternative and when "Rock Your Body" was #1 on pop, everyone rooted for BMTL; now many seem to love to hate the song. This happens especially to urban and rock acts when they make it big on pop or mainstream.
Personally, I like "Hey Ya" because I'm a fan of both rock and R&B. However, I guess I prefer "Ms. Jackson". I'd still love to see "Hey Ya" reach the top though.

I like "Hey Ya" much better than "The Way You Move" because it has a very different sound from most songs on the radio right now and it remains to be fun and catchy.

I can actually say that I still haven't heard this song yet - I don't really like "The Way You Move", though.

It's possible that overexposure can kill the song. Usually, in regards to the best songs, it's better to take them in moderation rather than being bombarded by it everywhere you go.
Right now, for me, my radio stays on when the song comes on and I usually start dancing. That can change over the next couple of weeks due to both overexposure (unless I start changing the station to prevent it, but then I'll feel like I'm already overexposed and this is all if I feel overexposed) and really depressing personal matters that would make listening to the song seem very wrong.

Here's a song I'm starting to get a little tired of - Stacy's Mom. And it's not because it made the Pop Top 10! It gets played a lot here where I live. Boy that song sure wears off fast. I predict a fast fall for it.

I predict a fast fall for it. Oh I couldn't agree more. I think the initial thing I liked about the song was the sotryline and the video, and it was kind of catchy. That's what got my attention though, it was never a GREAT song... but I liked it. I guess I still like it but I just don't want to hear it anymore because I'm sick of it.

I double agree with "Stacy's Mom". It made the top 10 on my chart just 7 weeks ago, but I can't stand it now.

LOL, would this be known as "Evanescence syndrome"? I never liked Evanescence's song one bit, and I LOVE "Hey Ya" Outkast can get overexposed with this single, yet it truly is fresh and original. And the video makes it even more classy, bringing a drawback to the Beatles or the Ed Sullivan show. Even when I hate to see this get overplayed, I don't see my love for this song dying down. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

LOL, would this be known as "Evanescence syndrome"? Definitely not on my part. I HATED "Bring Me To Life" long before I ever thought it'd become a Pop hit.

Since I first heard it, I didn't really care for it, but I don't hate it either. I'm kind of indifferent to it, and I would not mind if it did well on pop or not...
And yes, I have said this from the beginning! ;)
