This song is already doing very well without going for adds yet. #64, 399 spins, +15, So the bullet is a little low but I'm sure this will rise real soon. How far do you think this will go, I think it's one of the best songs I've heard her sing, this song is way up in the air on performance though because it really isn't a pop song. However the song is in the top 20 at AC, looks to enter top 10 at HotAC by the end of the week and has also gotten a few adds to country stations over the past few weeks, not to mention it's getting decent video play at VH1 and CMT. I think this song will become a Top 10 Billboard Hit. My prediction is going to be #18 for right now, I'll have to see how the after adds affect the song though. I think it deserves top 10 success!

Thsi song has already surprised me by how well it's doing so long before an adds date. I think radio still likes Sheryl.. not enough to play as if she's the big craze, but enough to put her on their playlists in medium or low rotation. This is a pretty hook-based song as well.
It woudln't surprise me if she got to around #20 with this song.

Before opening this topic, I said #33 would be a good prediction... so I'll go with it. It's not quite as pop-friendly as some of her other songs, but still getting enough pre-impact action to eventually bring it into the top 40.

I don't know how well this song could. Radio has been accepting music from all over the board this year. But I'd have to chose a peak of #31.

In the world where pop music was open to all types of music and appreciated veteran music, this song would peak at about #13 or so. That said, this will probably peak at #29.

Although I have her first three CDs and I burnt her fourth one, I still want the Best Of CD. There's a country version of 'Cut' too. :O
I'm tempted to go away from the pack and predict #7 or something but that won't happen so I'll just say #34.

I'll predict she gets to #14, but hangs around long enough to go recurrent. The pre-adds spins this song is getting are pretty increible, IMO.

This is a really good song so I am gonna go against opinion and say she will hit top ten. But I have never been good at predicting peaks.

This is a really good track I am going to predict top 10 with an outside chance at top 5 ( I say her best chances are around the second week of Jan. 2004).

I'm sorta straddling the fence on how well it's gonna do. In one aspect, I see this doing better than we think (such as a top ten peak), but I also seeing this having a mediocre or poor performance. The key to it doing well would be the adult-leaning CHRs like WSTR, WNCI and WRVW.

She deserves Top 10 with this song, even though it is unlikely.
This is kind of off topic, but what does CHR stand for? I've been questions this for al ong time, just never got around to asking.

The key to it doing well would be the adult-leaning CHRs like WSTR, WNCI and WRVW. I completely agree... that's why I went the in-between route and picked a peak around #20 or so. On one hand, Pop radio has at last become unpredictable and songs that I feel never would have been a hit last year were big hits this year. Pop radio is also more HAC leaning for the first time in 3 or 4 years (look at the current Top 5). And the song does have a catchy hook. On the other hand, Sheryl is a popular 90's artist and is 41 years old, and this song is a little on the country-leaning side. Basically, no matter what happens witht his song (good or bad) I won't be surprised.

This song falls along the same lines as "Picture" as far as style, and that turned out to be a huge surprise hit. Sheryl is one of the most talented acts out there and every now and then, radio randomly selects a real artist to showcase--kind of like a flavor of the year thing. It seems that this year it's been Matchbox 20 so far (no complaints here,) and since they passed over Sarah McLachlan, I think Sheryl may be in the running as the token talanet. But then again, pop isn't THAT generous. I'll say...
#14.
