Wow! I quess you're right, I had to check that out because that seemed like a very long time. At this rate I'd say they will make at least 26 weeks, but 43 weeks is a very long time, that's like May, but they've been regaining and losing their bullet a lot over the past few weeks, now their -145. Also, Stacie looks pretty good too, 18 weeks and +250, She'll probably make 26 weeks as well. 3 Doors Down is also week 17, but that's pretty much expected of them since they're use to longetivity. Liz Phair also is week 17.
I'm wondering the same thing! Hopefully, she won't pull a "Disease" and peak at #21. I don't think "Hey Ya" will get to 9000 spins, I think "The Way You Move" has just ruined that chance. I hope Linkin Park and Good Charlotte can make the Top 40 since both songs are the best I've heard from them. Beyonce and Kelly Clarkson will make Top 40 next week, it looks like Linkin Park will squeeze in with all of the other songs falling out. There are a lot of Britney songs taking off at the bottom of the chart, so which one is the official single?

"The Voice Within" is dangerously slowing down. But there is no need to panic. In my opinion it has already surpassed my expectations as a fifth single and if it dies out around #17(eeek) then that's no problem. But then again "Can't Hold Us Down" was down to +200 before it picked up steam and dived into the top 10, and "Fighter" even lost it's bullet before gaining back a whopping +600, so maybe TVW is doing that. Christina's singles always seem to hang in there. All she needs to do is have to pass this silly logjam and then it will be so freakin easy for her to go into the top ten.
I am so happy "Breathe" might not make the top 20 this week, because i wanted CHUD to spend it's 20th week inside the top 20, and it looks like that will happen.
"I Got That Boom Boom" is the next Britney single. Might i had that stations aren't playing that song and any of the others like "Outrageous" or "Toxic" because they are the next singles, they are playing them because JIVE made a deal with several radio stations to play some songs off of her album because it would help promote the release.

"Roll Out (My Business)" and "Saturdays (Ooh! Oooh!)" fell off the chart at about the same time, but I don't remember which happened first. "Complicated" must have outlasted "Sk8er Boi" on Hot Adult Contemporary. I think "A New Day Has Come" outlasted "I'm Alive" on Adult Contemporary. "That's The Way It Is" outlasted the followup flop "I Want You To Need Me" on Adult Contemporary and maybe CHR-Pop Sans Recurrent Rule. You could say the same thing for Creed on some formats with "One Last Breath" and then "Don't Stop Dancing"/"Weathered." Sorry if I didn't make it clear enough with my post, but I actually meant not counting recurrents, ie, the second song had to fall off the current chart before the first song. So I guess the most recent example would be "Roll Out My Business", since that fell off a week later than "Saturday(Ooh! Ooh!)". Evanescence did come close to doing this though.

The worst as happened for me...
"Me Against the Music" is out of the Top 10 after spending all week in there!
"Breathe" for the second time (!!!) got knocked out of the Top 20 after spending a lot of time their midweek.

Michelle Branch is down to a laughable +174. I hope i am not the only one that wants it to lose it's bullet, well i probably am.

Since I think its her worst single to date-by far, I would not mind if it stopped where it is now. But I do not think a +174 is laughable-its held on longer and gone further than I expected, when it was in the 30-35 range and had a bullet under 200 spins.

I actually agree with you on this, although there is a song a few positions above it that I would rather see lose its bullet. I just think this was a bad single choice. While I don't want her to lose the bullet, it deserves too since her album isn't in the Top 100, and you never hear the song on any request shows. I hope she hurries and releases "Tuesday Morning"

"Saturday (Ooh! Oooh!)" was the second single, not "Roll Out (My Business)". I know.

I guess "Me Against the Music" will peak at #11 (hopefully no lower). :( I was just starting to like the song.
Michelle Branch is the type of artist with songs that can last a long time on the charts, so "Breathe" may continue to hold and then climb. I'm not really into the song yet, however.
Wow, I'm impressed by "The Voice Within"... a straight out ballad doing so well. It sounds vaguely like a song I've heard before, but I'm liking it on first listen.
I heard Fuel for the first time today. I can't believe it's in the upper 30s already. It sounds kind of harsh, but I think a few more listens and I'll get used to it (my stupid local station hasn't added it yet, so I had to hear it on Rick Dees).
I hope "Hey Ya" can get to #1 next week (or this week, doesn't matter). I wouldn't mind if 3 Doors Down gets another week at the top, though.

Yuck at Simple Plan top 10... why does radio give them a top 10 now... And there's no way Maroon 5 will fall off the top 10 that fast, it seems...

Simple Plan continues the trend started by Justin Timberlake, the more singles you release, the better they do.

Even though Michelle Branch is one of my favorite artist, I kind of have to agree, I wouldn't mind if the song just stopped now, if it's not going to the top 10, then don't send it to the top 20 in my opinion. "Breathe" should've been on her first album or have been chosen has the 3rd single. "Tuesday Morning" should've been released 2nd. I sure hope Sarah McLachlan can make the Top 40, "Fallen" is one of the best songs that has come out this year! It's great to see Dido & Fuel continuing to rise after they both nearly lost their bullets, did Dido lose hers before? If Stacie hangs on she could make top 5 in 2 weeks! Jessica Simpson is still doing very well +410! Hopefully she can make top 20. It sure seems like there have been many slow-risers over the past few months and these songs have been able to hold on to their bullets. Stacie Orrico, Matchbox 20, Liz Phair, and now Staind is still holding and is only at #25, how far will this song be able to go?!

Meanwhile on the Urban chart, Jagged Edge takes back over the #1 spot even though OutKast featuring Sleepy Brown was leading over them just this morning.

Kylie's "Love at First Sight" ? ooh No Doubt just missed out on #10...I would have rather they got it than Simple Plan...Perfect seems so old to me woo hoo I'm glad for Stacie...and she is closing in on Santana at #7 and Fountains of Wayne at #6 also I hope "More to Life" can get to #6 or maybe even #5 by next week, that would be amazing Wow, for a Top 5 song, I have never heard "Headstrong" on the radio...I heard it once on that TRL radio Weekend countdown thing a couple weeks ago Im glad Beyonce is falling like a rock, it's about damn time...but look at Me, Myself and I just rocketing up into the 40's...it will be Top 40 next week and Stacy's Mom, that song is so annoying now...where did it peak, #4? lol at Liz Phair, she just keeps going and going...I liked "Why Can't I" for a little while there in the summer, but wow it seems old now I wish Christina would have jumped more than 2 spots, but oh well...next week OutKast just missed out on #1 by about 75 spins...oh well, it will get it next week and probably stay there for quite some time..its gains are still at almost 1000 :o and I think Hey Ya! will take over #1 on the Hot 100 this week when does the Hot 100 take the audience impressions for their chart, Tuesday night's Mediabase chart? "Stand Up" is still #1 at Rhythmic, with Holidae Inn and Damn! at #2 and #3, respectively...but The Way You Move will make Top 3 next week, I'm not sure if it can reach #1 by next week, though...and Hey Ya! may leapfrog it... that's great Jagged Edge got a #1 at Urban with "Walked Outta Heaven", even if it is only for this week...very close at the top too, only ahead of The Way You Move by 12 spins Kanye West moves up 6 to #28 with "Through the Wire" on the Urban chart!

Actually I just calculated Audience impressions, and Baby Boy is still at 130 mil (Pop/Rhy/Urban combined) and Hey Ya! is at 105 mil (Pop/Rhy), I know there are other formats involved, but they can't make that much of a difference
So Hey Ya will probably remain stuck at #3 on the next Hot 100, but I calculated Ludacris "Stand Up", and with Pop/Rhy/Urban audience combined, he is at 129 million and still rising at Pop...
So will "Stand Up" be #1 on this week's Billboard Hot 100, or will "Baby Boy" just barely squeeze out its 10th straight week?

Kylie's "Love at First Sight" ? That song was #10 on the midweek charts (like "MATM") but lost out on it by the end of the week. It wound up with a #11 peak.

Eamon needs to go the f*ck away. Well, the damage has already been done I guess. It's gonna be interesting listening to Casey Kasem in 2 weeks.
YAY LIZ PHAIR!!! She could get up to #12 by next week!!!
Thanks to BEP (SO OVERRATED!!!) John Mayer gets 1 last week in the top 40.
Ouch for Britney. Looks like she has herself a "Flash in the Pan." Hopefully the song can stay on long enough for Madonna's top 40 streak to continue into 2004.

The final update is now at Mediabase. 3 Doors Down stays at number one, thanks in part to the addition of KCJZ-FM San Antonio to the CHR/Pop panel (though they still would've had it anyway, just by about half the current margin).
There were also several other changes as a result, including: It's My Life went from #11 to #10 Perfect went from #10 to #11 Holidae In went from #22 to #21 Breathe went from #21 to #22 (actually now tied with Holidae In for #21, but placed at #22)

As posted in the other thread, Black Eyed Peas shouldn't be recurrent yet based on the additional airplay from KCJZ, but it was removed as this airplay was added, so it got cheated out of one more week in the chart. Another Mediabase mistake...

Kelis, Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson, and Good Charlotte debut. The Ataris, O.A.R. (these two are on Mediabase), Black Eyed Peas featuring Justin Timberlake, and Justin Timberlake drop off. Sheryl Crow, Jay-Z, and Pink should debut this week. Dashboard Confessional backwards bullets and I don't know if it will eventually make the chart. Top 10 below the chart with bullets (may not be exactly the same as New and Active): 1. Sheryl Crow 2. Jay-Z 3. Kiley Dean 4. Dashboard Confessional 5. Pink 6. Lillix 7. Nick Lachey 8. Jason Mraz 9. Evanescence 10. Limp Bizkit M.V.P. featuring Stagga Lee is Number 65 but Number 33 in audience due to WKSC, WHTZ, and WBLI being its second, third, and fourth leaders. WKSC provides over 20,000 audience per spin, WBLI provides over 25,000 audience per spin, and Z100 provides over 100,000 audience per spin. It has 25,911 audience per spin. That's more than triple the 8,245 audience per spin Number 1 has. Stacie Orrico could make the 2004 year-end chart. What was the earliest a song has ever come out that made the next year's chart? Goo Goo Dolls? What week did "(There's Gotta Be) More To Life" debut?

Creed's "One Last Breath" debuted in May 2002 (I think), and it'll likely make the 2003 year-end chart.

"Higher" and "Everything You Want" both made the 2001 year-end chart, though it was due mostly to recurrent airplay.

I would imagine that "Headstrong" can make the 2004 year-end chart, and that was released in late 2002.
