The charts are looking really good now compared to the last few months. Great songs on there and not too much crap. I never thought I'd see Dido or Fuel on the chart again. We have some 90's artists doing well like Matchbox Twenty and No Doubt. We have fun songs like "Hey Ya" on the chart. Some good straight-up pop songs like "Invisible" and "So Yesterday". (not too many, a good mix of them). John Mayer, Michelle Branch and Liz Fair are on there.. some good "AC" artists". We have some R&B songs like Mya's "My Love Is Like... Wo" and Beyonce. we also have the rock like Staind, 3 Doors Down, The Ataris and Nickleback. Nelly Furtado is on the charts! There are only 7 or 8 rap songs on the chart. a good balance. Santana is on there. Christina and Britney. We've got some canadians like Simple Plan, Nickleback and Nelly Furtado. The charts are good again!

It's great to see such balance on the charts. A lot of CHR/pop stations seem to reflect the balance too, as you don't see too many of them lean one way or the other. Hopefully, this can carry on into 2004 and beyond.

I agree, and the Top 10 itself looks very balanced!
Of course there are some bad things, like Chingy gaining so much. But overall it looks very good!

Would you guys shut up already! If there were crap songs on the charts a few months ago, then why the heck do they get played if they were crap? I am so sick and tired of all this non sense complaining. Just because you like Michelle Branch, it doesn't mean everything else that's not her is crap. Michelle Branch is so overrated on these boards! I hope "Breathe" flops.

Agreed! The charts are nearly perfectly balanced with all the genres and stuff. I'd still fix them up and change the artists that represent each genre but then I'd be complaining. LOL! I think it's a good mix and my brother Rob hit the nail on the head! The best they've been since 1999!

Hey, it's all good---"The Voice Within" is rocketing up the charts, so that's something to celebrate, right? No complaints there, I hope!

For the most part, I agree that the pop chart is looking better than it was just a while back. A lot of songs I like in varying genres are making nice gains. Nice to see about an equal amount of pop, rock, and rhythmic stuff in the top 10.

It's not leaning towards one genre.

Was Avril's CD/DVD released in the US? Was it eligable to make the Billboard album chart? How did it do?

Was Avril's CD/DVD released in the US? Was it eligable to make the Billboard album chart? How did it do? They advertise it on TV, so it must have been released in the United States, and since 50 Cent's CD/DVD was eligible for the Billboard 200, Avril should be also.
