Since the real TVW thread was locked due to the juvenile behavior of some board members... TVW is down to below 200 ! However, the station giving it the most spins is only up to like 65. Do you think there will be a second wind? Or will it pull a Dirrty/MATM??

I see it getting a second wind possibly and eventually still going top 10.

I hope it does better than "Dirrty," but I can't reallt see it making the Top 10 right now. I'm sticking with a peak of #12.

I know I said I hated this song at first, but now I'd say it's actually my favorite Stripped single. The one thing that ruins the song is Christina's voice towards the end of the song when she starts doing her vocal theatrics, but the rest of the song is great! This is a classic mid-90's type ballad and I don't think we've had one of those in the Top 10 since like, the mid-90s.... so hopefully this can go Top 10.

I see it getting a second wind possibly and eventually still going top 10. Typically, I would say, sure, because of payola. But I don't think they will payola a fifth single.

I thought that this song would be doing a little better than it has been because it's a ballad and we are approaching what some call a ballad-friendly season (the winter season). However, with gains like that, things are not looking good for top 10 hopefuls. Plus, behind Christina are some songs charging up the chart like The Way You Move and Milkshake, which will only hurt TVW's forward progress.

What a stupid topic. Q) is the song still gaining spins? A) um... yeah! Q) so is "The Voice Within" done? A) no.

I don't think it will get a second wind. When the song is done, it'll be done. Although with stations not really playing it as a high rotating current (the highest being 65 as mentioned before), that could work in its favour and if it's true, I'm sure some stations will continue to increase.

Last year i said "I hope Christina's 2nd, 3rd, and 4th singles alll out peak Dirrty", and when i said that i was unsure if that would happen. Not only did that happen, but her 5th single has also outpeaked Dirrty and i am really glad!
No matter what happens to this song from now and on, there is no way you should label it a flop. Oh and i think it has a shot at going into the top 10.
It's nice to know that Christina is an artist who is guaranteed to have at least 4000 spins, i don't think there is any artist out there that has that guarantee.

A lifetime guarantee? Five years or 100,000 miles? If one of her songs fails to reach 4000 spins, can she return it to the shop for repairs?

The difference with Christina is that her biggest flop isn't even really a flop.
Sorry Bry, Pink's "You Make Me Sick" never reached 6000 spins.

Sorry Bry, Pink's "You Make Me Sick" never reached 6000 spins. You said 4000 spins, not 6000 spins. Bry said the same statement could have been applied to Pink, so where did this 6000 business come from??? Getting back on topic - this song is hanging on by a thread right now. I wouldn't be surprised if this song began its descent after the two week break.

I never expected TVW to do this well, I was worried about it making Top 20 when I heard it would be the fifth single.. once I saw how it took off, I set my hopes higher that it could maybe match or beat Dirrty's peak.. now that it has, I think it maaay be able to just make Top 10 before it starts to fall.. just when I think it's about to be on its way down, it picks up again, so we'll see.. but if it dropped out of sight today, I'd be more than happy for the run it had

I wanted "The Voice Within" to outpeak "Dirrty" and now that it has on Pop, and more importantly, the Hot 100, I'm definitely satisfied. Obviously I'd like it to break into the Top 10 at Pop and keep rising on the Hot 100, but that would be an added bonus.

This song is 100X better than 'Fighter'.
'Dirrty' may have been a radio flop but it served its purpose. I definately think it was a smash!

I still think the song will hold on, could this be the first #11 peaker of 2004 2004 - Another year of #11 peakers?? I think "The Voice Within" will have some longetivity and hang around for a while and if Beyonce and Trapt (-48) would start falling faster she could make top 10, but she has no threat until Jessica Simpson at #19, it's very weird how just a month ago the teens were built up with a logjam, not everysong but 3 are bulletless. Christina doesn't have to worry about Chingy or Clay anymore because they both have lost their bullets.

Trapt and Beyonce will fall out of the top 10 soon, pushing Christina to #10. I think she can pull it off!
Dirrty is not a flop anyway you look at it! It's her most POPULAR song. Dirrty is one of the 3 songs people will think of when Christina's name is mentioned. And TVW a flop? One thing is for sure J, it did a whole lot better than what you predicted! LOL LOL LOL LOL!
I'm gonna predict that TVW will have second wind, because...
1. J said it was a flop, and we all know whenever he says something like this the total opposite happens (look at Fighter and CHUD as examples)
2. The song is still fresh, and stations are still slowly but surely playing it more week after week, a nice slow buildup (sort of like "There's Gotta Be More To Life")
3. Grammy Season, TVW will probably hang around because Christina is a nominated artist.

radiorules, why do you call #6 and #7 hits on your personal chart "huge disappointments" and "flops" when you don't apply the same standards here? Just wondering. :)

My chart is a top ten Chart! LOL! A song that peaked at #10 on a top ten chart if a flop, a song that peaked at #10 on a top 50 chart is a hit.
And another factor i consider is who an artist is! For example Staci Orrico peaked at #6 on my top ten chart, that's a hit for her. But if Pink or J.lo would have had a song peak there i would consider them flops considering both of these females have had huge #1's on my chart.
