I don't consider having an interactive book discussion "weird conversations." It's sad nowadays so many people are glued to the boob tube they don't bother to pick up a book.
If anything, the off-topic posts (which I must admit were out of place) were promoting reading among the Pulse Music Board.

I don't agree with this however... Are you trying to start a fight with me? Missing our old fights? Just a few days ago, I was on the verge of sending you a PM telling you how great it is that we haven't had a dumb fight on these boards and I know we both played a big part in ensuring the absence of fights and I'm glad for this. I respect these boards so much I even ignored your "Uncle Krackerjack" post and that topic where you criticized everyone for criticizing Madonna. So please don't let this topic be the place to start a fight.

Hector.... watch it.
(p.s. I deleted your post. That kind of stuff doesn't belong here)

Not on the boards, anyway. Shhhh!!!
I only mention Josh's counts because he made such a big deal about my numbers on his board.
I don't think a topic should be closed unless it turns bad or something. If some people are having fun posting what others may think is nonscence, it's still harmless and there's nothing wrong with it. If it happens to be a topic in a format forum, there's nothing wrong with moving it either although closing it isn't out of the question in that case.

That was because of bandwidth which we realized we had WAY too little of later. I was not complaining against you personally. I had no idea about ProBoards.

I don't hold a grudge. ;) You did what you had to do. LOL! I don't much worry about other's post counts anyways. It just kinda felt like your complaints were personal towards me. I'm glad they aren't.

Whoever closed the "Name Change" topic could've simply said "You're going offtopic" (which isn't a big deal anyways) instead of locking it.

I'm confused as to why my 'Waiting' topic got locked in the Music News Forum. Josh said it was because there was a 'Waiting' topic in the Your Opinion Forum (and then closed the topic so I couldn't reply). But isn't a topic on News different from a topic on Opinion? There are currently two topics on 'Slow' by Kylie Minogue in CHR/Pop AND Music News. Both are still open.
Also, why are chart topics getting closed is discussion is still ongoing? I am sorry for offending anyone with my signature. Anyway, I think that there is a double standard for some artists that get the same topics multilisted while others dont. I think that moderators should delete the post altogether rather than locking up a topic when the topic is new and useless. If there are alot replies then just delete a few messages rather than waste a whole topic.

LOL, I keep adjusting my offset and it keeps going fast. I last changed it last week, and now the board clock is 2 minutes fast.

You know, I can't stand those topics listed at the top when the haven't been replied to for days. If no one is replying to them, why are they more deserving of being on top that topics that people are actively replying to???

VERY well said, Mineable. Having a "weird conversation" is sure a hell of a lot better than engaging in flame wars, or asking why a certain board member was banned, as if that's anyone's concern besides the moderators and administrators. BTW, I just found out yesterday that Fig Newtons aren't full of worms. You sure had me fooled for several years there, Ramona!

We've only put a sticky on the Pulse Music Awards topics and they will stay that way until Mike is ready.

Now the clock seems to be on time again. :) All I have to do now is put in a -1 to adjust to my time zone.

I have to put in -0.009 to get it on time... and it's still one minute off.

If you guys want, you can untack the topics that didn't get replied in the last 24 hours or so. My plan right now is to leave that be for a few weeks and then when the last couple days of suggestions are upon us, maybe you could take them back up again and then maybe lock them once the deadline is reached. (don't delete them though).
I'm aiming for maybe sometime in mid December for the suggestion deadline. I'm stretching it out because there's no rush. Maybe December 10th. Then I'll tabulate the official nominations and maybe release them the first week of January and the votes will be voted for and officially released in a topic here on the boards in late February or early March. I appreciate yours guys' help and backup on this! :)

I'll save the URLs of the topics and go ahead and unsticky them.

i have a new issue to bring and it has in effect to this
this was said by Josh in the thread started by atomic aloud...
firstly, Atomicaloud has EVERY right to be upset, if the person cannot find the topic, and starts a new thread with the exact same news, someone should provide a link to the other topic, and then the new topic locked, not the original topic.
Secondly, i hate hate hate HATE the fact that you would claim that he searches the drama! He is in full right to say he will bump his topic, your comments made NO sense when it was said in the first that any duplicates would be closed!
