Since most stations play the AT40 year-end chart all day on new-years or the day before. What is this weekends AT40 gonna be? Casey said that this week is the first half of the year-end chart, but most stations don't play it in parts

Last year, WKSC played the thing in two parts on Sunday mornings. I didn't know that most stations played it on New Years' Day, although that did happen with Casey's Top 40 on several occasions. In 1990, apparently, B96 in Chicago opted to run it at a different time than usual. To fill in the void, they ran the "Top 40 Dance Hits of the 1980s" the first week and then the next, they did the "Top 40 Movie Hits of the 1980s". Also, when Joliet's WBUS ran "Casey's Top 40", they ran the show on New Year's Eve both in 1994 and 1995. I sure hope Kiss FM runs it at its normal times.

FLZ plays AT40's yearend countdown in two parts in its normal time slot (Saturday mornings). New Years Day (or Eve, I can't remember which) they play their own top 93 of the year. (You listening, Z100? YOU ONLY NEED TO PLAY YOUR OWN COUNTDOWN ONE TIME!!)

I'm expecting Oz to play it normal times like they always have in two parts. :) Tomorrow morning at 8am!

Casey said that this week is the first half of the year-end chart, but most stations don't play it in parts I've never actually heard the AT40 year-end chart done that way. It's always been at the normal times where I've heard it. 100-51 one week, then 50-1 the next. I have heard many stations rerun the Dees year-end countdown on New Year's Eve/New Years Day though. I prefer when stations run their own countdowns New Year's Eve, followed by some pre-midnight mixing or Open House Party. There's no need to rerun the syndicated stuff at this time.

I have heard many stations rerun the Dees year-end countdown on New Year's Eve/New Years Day though. That's what happens here. The Rick Dees year-end is broadcast the last 2 weeks of December in its normal time slot, then rerun on New Year's Day while they do their local year-end countdown on New Year's Eve.
