I was wondering something. Ok, so when a song is new, it'll get radio adds so eventually get nearly added by the entire panel if the song is a hit. But once the song begins to drop, how do the numbers work? Do the songs slowly lose reporters? Like for example, if a song is #5 and dropping, it has all of its stations, or 100% of the panel. Do stations drop the song eventually and then, for example when the song is #20 it only has like 70% of the entire panel?
And also, do most songs get added by most of the pop stations? Maybe someone could post the current Top 50 on pop with their current station trends, like:
#1 - 100 stations/5 adds #2 - 98 stations/0 adds #3 - 98/4 #4 - 87/-7

I know my station usually drops songs right after they lose their bullet. If they are anywhere from 15-40. That's the only trend I have picked up.

R and R only shows official adds. They never show negative trends, or indicate how many stations drop a song. The number of total stations just decrease from the previous week.
Some hits like "Into You" only got added to 88 stations during its peak despite being #1 on Callout American for weeks (until it went recurrent).

So if a song gets added by all of the stations on the panel, R&R will show the song with that number of stations from there on out?

No, they do show how many stations actually playing it each week. I'm just saying, they don't show how many reporters dropped it. Like a song can go from 120 to 118, but it won't show -2 on the chart.

I know that. But how do the trends work? Like with 'Unwell' for example, during its fall, how many stations did it lose in a week, on average?
And how many stations generally play recurrent and gold songs?
