recurr MAROON 5 This Love 344 85 259 1.805 Isnt this their new single??? why the hell is it recurrent then? Stations have been playing this song for quite some time now because "Harder To Breathe" was played on many formats during many many months. I heard that this was their follow up at the begining of the fall. It will lose it's recurrent status though

Kiss in Boston just started playing it...and the video just recently debuted on TRL.

It was just a Mediabase error that hasn't been corrected yet. Around the same time that "This Love" initially went recurrent, many currents went recurrent, which also included Jason Mraz "You and I Both", which of course was removed from recurrent and ended up making the top 40.
I'd expect "This Love" to go un-recurrent sometime next week.

I like this song, but I think they should have released "She Will Be Loved" as the follow-up, as that is more radio-friendly, and that would have guaranteed Maroon 5 to not become a one-hit wonder.
I don't see Maroon 5 getting nearly as much attention here. "This Love" will go Top 30, but I don't see it going well beyond there.
My Prediction: #25
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I'll say something like #18 or something.
This and the new Powderfinger songs are both exploding up my chart! Great couple of songs!

Yeah I asked about this song over a month ago. I couldn't stand 'Harder To Breathe' but I love this one, hope it goes far.

When a friend of mine bought me this CD for my birthday and I put it in for first listen, "This Love" stood out as the track I felt would put them into the mainstream. I thought HTB would give them a little bit of success, but that they would really break through with this one.
The video is pretty good and all the women here at college love it...I think the combination of the video plus the fact that the song is just so damn catchy will help this one go at least top 15.

I brought this topic back because I think it's funny how most people's predictions have already passed, and it's only been a month! Now it looks like everyone's predictions could be lower, the highest I see is #9. I think this song will go top 10, if not top 5, I think #1 is even possible.

Yeah this one is exploding because it's simply a great song. I think they should go with the soothing ballad "She Will Be Loved" next.
I predict (Maroon) #5 for this one.

If Octone puts as half as much mmmph into this song as they did "Harder to Breathe" then this'll be #1, easily. They managed to get "Harder to Breathe" to go recurrent onto 2 formats it didn't even belong at all (Hot AC and AAA) plus get the on-crack song all the way up to #4 on pop, about 20 spaces higher than it should have peaked.
I actually don't see this getting recurrentitis. I don't know why any station in their right mind would hold onto "Harder to Breathe" instead of playing this. (Yeah, the same can be said about other groups that held onto old songs, but still -- there's really nothing better or more pop-friendly about that song then this one.)
"This Love" is pop at its finest. It kinda sneaks up on you & it has about the right ratio of originiality to rehash for a pop song.

I swear I've heard the intro to this in a commerical or two.
I love this just as much as I do "Harder To Breathe". It's smooth and sexy and funky. I think it's due time I check out the album in full.

Definetely buy the album. It's the first CD I've gotten in a long time that I like every single song. "This Love" looks to easily make Top 5.

I really like this song...
it's different from Harder to Breathe in that it's even more poppy
It's a real good beginning of Spring, Spring Break, winter thaw type of track, reminds you of better weather, and summer :)
