Die Another Day, Pop, All For You, and (possibly) Without Me all broke +2000. But this might be close to a record for a second single. Didn't "Me Against the Music" have about 2600 spins in the first week? Thanks, Ben

Well yeah she did..but that was her 2nd week! Remember how "MATM" came out on the Friday? well on the official chart by Sunday, she was at #52 with 520 spins...so then by the next weeks chart...she was at around 2600 spins..which is only like +2100!

It appears that Sarah McLachlan may be done :'(, but there still may be one last shot for her, oh well, the song is very old to me now, so I'll go for "Away From The Sun" from now on, my favorite 3 Doors Down song! I think "Toxic" will go top 10, maybe even top 5?? It's her best single in a very long time, imo. Wow! Evanescence looks like they may be heading for +1000 in gains! Why does everyone hate "Someday" so much, most people really liked it when it first came out, I rather see them take over the top than another Outkast song. "Here Without You" is still falling very slowly, what week is this for them?? "Baby Boy" even hit #1 after them and it's now down to #17, and is looking to go recurrent in just a few weeks.

I'm happy to see both of these songs about to pass up Eamon. There seems to be nothing in the way that will prevent them from making Top 10. Once in the Top 10, Top 5 seems likely.

So the 9th week counting the break? LOL! And when he said "this week," did he mean this week's R&R chart, or this week's Mediabase chart i.e. this Sunday's?

See MATM's gain dropped alot on Thursday October 16th! whereas Toxic moved into the Top 20 with a large gain, but as it's been moving up, it's gain is growing too, not like with MATM!...but it's interesting to see that MATM had 3404 spins at #17..and Toxic is at 3419 spins and at #16...haha well maybe not lol..but the audience is weird...MATM went up then dropped like 3 million then went up again..???

That is because Z100, and to a lesser extent WIOQ in Philly and WXKS in Boston leaped on the song eraly and then backed off after the first week.

"Toxic" should be able to keep such high bullet throughout the weekend due to Rick Dees and AT40. "Toxic" will be getting played for the first time this weekend on these two shows.

Actually, we don't know if it'll be played on AT40 or not, but it's likely that it'll end up on there. As for Rick Dees, it was the sure shot last week, so no extra spins there.

For January 13, for "With You," "Toxic," "My Immortal," "Numb," Good Charlotte's "Hold On" and Sheryl Crow's "The First Cut... " :( at Kylie 'slow'ing down. She's now +266 at #42. Two days later, Kylie's stays at #42 with +251.

I find it so wierd that, given how samey Linkin Parks singles are, two have done so much better than any others...

I find it so wierd that, given how samey Linkin Parks singles are, two have done so much better than any others... I agree with you on that one. But since it's all basically based on airplay, the tracks that, for some reason, get favored more by PD's are the ones that zoom up the pop chart while others don't even go for adds. I actually like "Numb" more than their previous two releases from Meteora. But, yeah, you look at this song and then hear "Crawling" from practically three years ago, and then realize how similar they are...yet one is huge on pop and the other was totally ignored. Or even the most recent "Faint" for that matter.

I don't want Simple Plan to fall so fast because I don't want Kelis to have #7 peak! #8 is better. She's jumped to #7 unbulleted because Simple Plan is falling too fast.
There's now a big race to the Top 3, let alone #1: Jessica Simpson, Linkin Park, Britney Spears, and Evanescence. Can they all make Top 3? Will any of them not make Top 3? Top 5?

Don't forget, LP were unofficially boycotted by Pop programmers there for awhile, after they were so disdainful of having crossed over, refusing to play CHR shows, etc. (Though of course "Somewhere I Belong" got to #48 anyway, just because some programmers weren't going to ignore a platinum band). With Meteora not selling as well, and with the brouhaha basically forgotten, the record label decided to go for it with "Numb"...and of course, having "Headstrong" hitting big at the same time didn't hurt!

Updates:
"Hey Ya!" is #1 for a 7th and probably last week. Next week expect "TWYM" to take over #1 for at least the next month probably.
It looked like SImple Pain and Kelis would be fighting it out for #7, but instead Jessica Simpson gets it. She has a pretty good chance of making the top 5 next week if the trends continue.
Britney jumps 26-13* and should make the top 10 next week if she doesn't exerience a drastic slow down, which she's known for doing right outside the top 10.
Top 40 debuts: Limp Bizkit(re-entry), Hilary Duff, Jason Mraz(re-entry), Usher, Maroon 5, Kylie Minogue
Top 50 debuts: Usher, Black Eyed Peas, Ying Yang Twins f/ Lil' Jon
Mary J. Blige f/ Eve "Not Today"'s chart run so far:
36-35-35-43
If the song had debuted one spot higher, this would have beaten Smash Mouth's record for highest debut that was also its peak.

I think a huge surprise right now is Fuel jumping all the way to #18!!!
Where did that come from???
I've been cheering that song on largely because I love the whole album, but this is beyond my expectations. Now if people would just start buying the album....

Top 40 debuts: Maroon 5, Kylie Minogue Are 3 songs going recurrent? Because Maroon5 is #43 right now. (And Maroon5 should also be listed as a Top 50 debut.) Will Britney pass Christina by tonight?

Yeah, that's a big surprise for me too, I thought it was done a few weeks ago, what a way to hang in there, but I guess Dido is finished, they've both followed each other up the chart, but it looks like Fuel won! Sarah McLachlan is having a very tough time, even though she has a bullet, which has grown a little bit, she currently may not make it back into the top 50 very soon. Switchfoot is also having difficulty, hopefully they'll pick up, and does anyone else notice that it seems like there are a lot of rhytmic songs beginning to build up again!

Will Britney pass Christina by tonight? I hope she will and it seems likely. But whoever comes out on top I bet it will be by five to ten spins.
