See Above..........since their are so many, I might have missed one ....but I don't think so. My vote has to go to Kelly Clarkson..........that song was easily my favorite of the summer of 2003

I voted Others. Amanda Latona's lush ballad "Do You Still" takes my vote. I still remember the good ol' times I imagined turning on the radio station to hear "Do You Still" as the summer breeze sweeps through my hair. :'(

I voted for Jewel which spent 7 weeks at #1 on my chart this summer.
However, in reality Jewel and Matchbox 20's "Unwell" would be tied for my summer 2003 song.

"Bring Me to Life" spent 9 weeks at #1 here in the spring, but it still beats any of the other choices listed.

Jewel's song. Heard it everywhere this summer. It may have Peaked at #3 on my chart but I like it the most out of all the one's listed.
Based on my chart,It would have to be Fighter which dominated the spring of the year on the chart.

I went with "Where Is The Love" here, although I do prefer "Are You Happy Now"... that's my choice for the song of the summer of 2003.

I knew I forgot some songs :( Lemme do a tournament then..........Top 4 from this round goes to the finals, and I'll have a new set of 8 songs from the summer of 2003 next week :) The final 8 will then go at it to determine the best song of the summer of 2003 Adds for the next heat : 1.) "Are You Happy Now?", Michelle Branch 2.) "Unwell", Matchbox Twenty

I have to vote for Beyonce. Not only did I love the song, but even after it had been totally overplayed it was undisputably the anthem of summer 2003.

I voted for "Crazy In Love". It's a fun song, and it got a lot of airplay here (still does).

"Bring Me to Life" spent 9 weeks at #1 here in the spring, but it still beats any of the other choices listed. I agree, Matt. This really is an amazing track. When I first heard it I was like, "In The End Pt. 2..hmmnnnn", but this has really proved to be a winner. It's as good as "In The End" IMO. I know it came out ages ago, but its CHR peak was in early summer, and it's still on the chart (as of now). The song is definitely #1 summer '03 for me. Cool video too.

Of the listed songs, I voted for Jewel. It was the only song on the list to hit #1 for me. Meanwhile, Evanescence was probably one of the top songs for Spring.
However, my vote probably would have went to Wayne Wonder, 'No Letting Go', which I appointed the title of Summer Song of the Year in late May. I still stick by that one.

Mine would be "Frontin'" by Pharrell featuring Jay-Z. But out of the choices, I would definitely say "Crazy In Love."

I picked others because I don't consider any of those songs to be the definitive top song of the summer. Even though, "Bring Me To Life" is an excellent song and far and away blows out the other choices, that would probably be my top song for the spring, not summer.

Yeah "Crazy In Love" is definitely the biggest song this past summer, with Kelly Clarkson not far behind..
I said my fave was "Bring Me To Life", but I guess that's more spring...I'll go with "Unwell"; always count on MB20 to put up a great summer track!

I'm disappointed to see that 3 of my top 4 songs of summer weren't in this heat: Are You Happy Now I Must Not Chase the Boys Why Can't I
I voted for Miss Independent because it was a little behind... however, I also really like Crazy in Love, Intuition, and Rock Your Body.

I'm disappointed to see that 3 of my top 4 songs of summer weren't in this heat: Are You Happy Now I Must Not Chase the Boys Why Can't I Something give me the feeling that this is going to be an interesting tournament. BTW.....voting for this heat ends Friday Afternoon. Heat 2 will be up shortly after with 8 more songs. Overall, there will be 24 featured songs........and 12 spots in the next round. :)

Sorry, but for me, Matchbox Twenty's Unwell was definitely the song of my summer. It spent 6 weeks @ #1 from June through July and is still in my top 10 now.

A much better array of songs than in Heat 2. But for some reason, I was unable to vote for this group. Did voting in Heat 2 disqualify me from voting in this group? Or maybe I mistakenly unknowingly pressed the wrong button. Or, looking to the end of this thread, maybe it's already closed. I would have had to vote for "Bring Me to Life", which would have easily beaten any song from Heat 2. "Rock Your Body" was a close second, and I also like "Intuition". I would also second Blah Blah Blah's vote for "Frontin'", especially if you consider "Bring Me to Life" as a spring song. Other candidates I hope may be in Heat 3 are "Headstrong" by Trapt, "7 Nation Army" by White Stripes, "Move Your Feet" by Junior Senior, "Show Me How to Live" by Audioslave, and "Going Under" by Evanescence.
