Folks who do you think will be the next #1? It looks like a cat fight is a brewin' between Britney and Amy Lee... But, you cannot count J-Simp out either; she might out last both Brit and Amy.

Toxic is slowing down while My Immortal is staying constant, MI should make the next number 1 in a few weeks if TL or Yeah don't make it there first.

Toxic is slowing down while My Immortal is staying constant, MI should make the next number 1 in a few weeks if TL or Yeah don't make it there first. "My Immortal" has fizzled down too a bit though. It better maintain its +500 bullet or its even possible only one of these artists will go #1 by default and Usher will go #1 before either artists gets a good hold. Anbyway, I say Britney Spears will have our next #1. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I hope Jessica can spend 10 weeks at #1 and hold both of them off.

I rather see Jessica stay at the top until Maroon 5 gets there. I'm tired of everyone praising "My Immortal," I don't think this song has what it takes to be #1. My predictions... "With You" - 3 more weeks @ #1, peak #1 (4 weeks) "Toxic" - will take over after Jessica but will have a short reign before Maroon 5, peak @ #1 for 1 week. "My Immortal" - will last longer that Jessica and Britney, but won't beat Maroon 5 - #2 for 3 weeks. "Numb" - won't go near #1, but will make top 5 and stay a few weeks. #5 - 3 weeks. "Yeah" - will hit a brick wall at #4, yet holding in the top 5 for a few weeks. "This Love" - will finally be #1 by the first-second week of April, I think they'll stay for about 4 weeks, and then I'm thinking Avril Lavigne will take over, it's going to be a great spring this year, finally!! The best part of all, NO 50 CENT TO BE FOUND IN THE TOP 10!!!

"Toxic" will be first. Then "My Immortal". Then probally "Yeah" and "This Love" both have great chances as well.

Jessica Simpson for 3 more weeks, than Britney for 4 weeks. Then Maroon 5 for 6 weeks. Then "I Miss You" by Blink 182!!! for 2 weeks, than Avril Lavigne or Kanye West's "Through the Wire"

nope Toxic is just a better song soo will therefore perform better. It's also a song that you get sick of quickly. . . in fact, the song has had it's peak in audience I believe (unless it gets another boost). It only gained .012 million in audience since yesterday while My Immortal gained over .5 audience since yesterday :).

I accidentally voted for My Immortal.
As much as I love My Immortal, I don't think PDs/MDs are willing to play MI 110+ times a week.

Then "I Miss You" by Blink 182!!! for 2 weeks, than Avril Lavigne or Kanye West's "Through the Wire" I like "Through The Wire" but if it gains for that much longer on CHR-Pop it will just have too many weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and a second single could peak on CHR-Rhythmic and Urban before then. At this point I would rather it not go for adds and just continue to gain for however much longer without going for adds. In general I wouldn't want a song to take 15-16 weeks to get from Number 37 to Number 1. Kanye could have the same problem is Kelis that he could peak too early on the stations that played him first for him to continue up to Number 1. I also don't think it would take Avril that long to get to Number 1 either. I would expect her to gain faster and get way ahead of Blink-182 who you predicted to get Number 1 before Avril. You also didn't mention the greatest gainer, "One Call Away." "Yeah!," "This Love," and "One Call Away" are all gaining enough for Numbers 2 and 3 to have high spin totals.

Oh this is such a mature poll... I second your sarcasm. If you want impartial answers, how's about making an impartial poll? Plus the caption does not at all describe the feelings between artists. Puns are nice, but not here. A cat fight brewin' between Britney and Amy Lee? Come on. We know they're not chasing chart informtation. EDIT: I don't particularly like Jasonharper's spelling errors, but after thinking about it, this is immaturity. Don't mean to dis here (I haven't made any enemies in 2 years on the boards) but read your choices again. You'll see what I mean.

SEcondly I dont think people will be able to tolerate MI 110+ times a week. I can't tolerate more than 10 seconds of "With You", but that seems to be doing fine at #1.

Here are the day-to-day gains for "Toxic" and MI for the last week:
02/28 "Toxic" +66; MI +58 (advantage "Toxic" by 8) 02/27 "Toxic" +47; MI +69 (advantage MI by 22) 02/26 "Toxic" +78; MI +95 (advantage MI by 17) 02/25 "Toxic" +66; MI +109 (advantage MI by 43) 02/24 "Toxic" +74; MI +90 (advantage MI by 16) 02/23 "Toxic" +90; MI +30 (advantage "Toxic" by 60) 02/22 "Toxic" +67; MI +14 (advantage "Toxic" by 53) 02/21 "Toxic" +84; MI +29 (advantage "Toxic" by 55)
No clear pattern yet of MI closing the gap with any certainty.
