"Sunday Morning" is not doing nearly as well as the other singles, however it currently has one of the biggest bullets at HAC, is climbing slowly but surely at Pop, and the album is still selling well.
So should a 5th single be released after "Sunday Morning"?

It really depends on the fate of "Sunday Morning".
It would probably be wise to stop here if that doesn't go much further, but if it does pick up, then a 5th single wouldn't be such a bad idea.
Although, regardless of how "Sunday Morning" fares at other formats, a 5th single would probably still be a smash at Hot AC.

No. They need to put out another album and hopefully they don't try to repeat "This Love".

It seems it'll still be awhile until their sophomore album is released, considering Adam Levine's desires to finally take a break after three years of touring on the road and vacation in Hawaii for a long time.
I also agree it depends on how "Sunday Morning" fares. I figured "Sunday Morning" had already lost it and wouldn't even make the Top 30 when it lost its bullet late last month, but suddenly it has boosted up into the Top 30 and doesn't look all that shabby right now.
Still, "Sunday Morning" isn't quite in the clear yet. Considering it's following up two #1 smashes, "Sunday Morning" still strikes as kind of a disappointing follow-up in performance, and "Must Get Out" or "Tangled" could have done better.
If "Sunday Morning" makes the Top 20, I'd probably give the green light for a fifth single. There's been no talk about Maroon 5 recording in the studio lately, so there's plenty of distance between a possible fifth single from "Songs About Jane" and the lead single from their next album, thus won't spoil anything.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I agree that it depends on "Sunday Morning". Now that it's a top 30 hit, as long as it keeps its bullet for another month, I'd say go ahead and release "Shiver" as the 5th single.

No way! They should really take a long break after touring for so long. All of 2005!

No. They need to put out another album. And their current album is 2 1/2 years old already.

No. They need to disappear permanently. One of my lease favorite bands of the moment.

I don't think so. Time to conclude the "Jane" era and work on their follow-up.

I heard that their in the studio on the radio the other day... grant it, that could have been a big fat lie, but, hey, who knows?
I say if Sunday Morning hits top 20... release "Shiver"!!! IMO, that definatly has top 10 written all over it.

I would not be opposed to a 5th single, as long as its good.

I think they need to take a brief break, or go out on tour, then hit the studio and start recording their sophomore effort.

I don't get why they can't still release another single? They don't really have to do any work for it. The label can release the song, do a video from concerts or even get the band to take a day or two to record a video and then the label will work from there while the band takes a break. I say Yes. No need to try to send the single to #1 but release a fifth single just for the sake of it.

So many people here say "SM" isn't big ONLY because it's "too jazzy," but now its suddenly because the album has run out of steam? At any rate, I think some of the other songs on the album would go to Top 20 at Pop and HAC regardless of the "SM" scenario.
